COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
OG 1054/44 IBU/5.3% ABV A smooth drinking ale, with the sweetness of the girl next door - hiding a darker and bitter side. Overall malty character with a Northern Brewer bite to even the taste.

Very clean and refreshing. It has a smooth finish and no true aftertaste or bad mouth feel. Always a good choice.

Bottle. Very sour, medium body, a little cloudy, light head. The sour taste surprised me as I was expecting a more std amber.

Sammy (7029) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 26, 2013
Bottle from Champane’s Cellars. Pours somewhat amber colour, with above average carbonation. Aroma first of the hops and then of toasted malt. Taste is some caramel and mostly the toasted malt. Hops are there to give it a botter finish and make it interesting and drinkable.

Amber color out of the bottle with a thin ivory head. Malty nose with something sour that doesn’t seem right. Lots of wet grain astringency and harsh sour flavors. Some fruitiness and funky citrus, but I’m hoping that something unintended started to grow in here as this is not a very pleasant beer.

Buttery, possibly diacetyl. It isn’t awful but definitely it has a butter off-flavor in it.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with little head. Aroma is decent but doesn’t give much. Taste skunky/old with no real distinguishable flavor. Not something I would ever buy again.

polomagnifico (1102) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - AUG 11, 2012
Bottle. Aroma has notes of caramel, cereal malts and toasted nuts. Not as good as it sounds. Darker amber hue with a small off-white head that mostly diminished and left no lace. Flavor is medium sweet. Palate is medium bodied and softly carbonated. Overall a less than average amber.

Pailhead (3858) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - JUL 21, 2012
Bottle: The aroma consists of caramel, tootsie rolls, and some toasty notes. It pours a transparent amber with a one finger khaki head that quickly fades to a thin film and leaves some sporadic lacing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light caramel and a touch of fruit. The finish has light-moderate toastiness, nuts, and some earthy hops. It’s light bodied with light-moderate carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel. Overall, it seems like a blend of and Amber and a Brown.

Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy, somewhat dark amber color with a very small amount of head. Funky aroma. Some caramel malt, nuts, and a grassy hop character. Taste is odd. It tastes old but I know this just arrived at the store. There is a slightly skunky character. It is mildly sweet and bitter. Finish leaves an odd aftertaste. Seems a little overcarbonated too. Not a fan.

demitriustown (975) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - MAY 19, 2012
12 oz bottle: More of a caramel note to the malt note, light hay, and a grassy hop nice very slightly poking through. Appearance is a dark amber with a thin off white head that lingers. Taste is slightly hay like, caramel, and falls off quite quickly. Palate is medium carbonation, and an aftertaste of lingering breadiness. Overall, I liked it but nothing really special. Cheers!

Strykzone (3810) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - OCT 17, 2011
12 oz. bottle bought in Michigan. This pours hazy (after being rolled) and tea colored. It has a thick beige head that has good retention and leaves sticky lacing. The aroma is gentle and includes soft fruit and earth. Hop flavor leads and is sour and fruity. Caramel is in the background and it is a bit toasty. Bitterness and hop notes grow with warmth and they bring a strong finish. This beer is borderline pale ale and is just ok.
