1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
12oz Bottle. This smells royally fucked up. When I cracked the bottle, I
wasn’t sure if someone had broken a jar of pickled beans on my
floor or they were manufacturing styrofoam. Putting the nose
dangerously close to the glass, I get a very pungent and acidic
mix of pickled vegetables, tending towards Jalapeno,
Watermelon, and popcorn. Weird. Pours a clearish hazy gold,
with a thin white rim. I’m afraid to drink this. In the mouth,
its even worse. Oh god. Did I just drink four day old stale
pickled egg juice? Did someone put a cigarette out in this? Or
did an old lady die? The description for this beer says, "No
one seems to remember if the name, the logo or the recipe came
first, but it was ridiculous." Try revolting. Who would make
and bottle this? Sulphur, vinegar, and ash. Not beer, really.
Oh my god. If there really are pickles in this beer, and I
think there are, then, well...that’s just fucked up.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour from a 12oz bottle, make your own 6 pack from Horrocks in GR. Cloudy weiss looking brew, dirty yellow with surprisingly dense white head. Aroma conjures pickle juice - a little acetic acid overtone, spice, dill, earth, dirty socks. Taste is like sweet zima malt beverage with a little sour and dirty socks and vitamin C in the finish, though the odor - er, aroma - adds to that. Watery mouth feel and palate. This brew should totally and completely suck by any objective measure, but who’s objective? It actually tastes really good.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
MBGSF 2011. Poured light pinkish color and an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate tart fruit aroma. Light to medium body with with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium tingly berry flavor with a medium berry finish of moderate duration. Complex strange change of pace fruit beer.

2.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
You know, this beer keeps changing in complexity. The first few batches were outstanding, with a nice, strawberry aroma. Now, it seem to have too much zing and not as pleasant of a seasonal beer as it had been. No bad, though.

0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
12 oz bottle from Party World on Alpine, Grand Rapids, MI. Cloudy, yellow with small white head. Aroma is gross, just gross with dry grain and a weird sour vegetale note, I can’t imagine that they really put pickles in it but it is slightly vinegary. Vinegar flavor up front with vegetale, grain and some sweeter fruit, like strawberry or other red tropical fruit. Light and watery body. This is bad in so many ways. Ugh... definite drain pour.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: AUG 5, 2007 on tap at the brewery...cloudy yellowish body with medium white head..aroma of light sugar and strawberry..hints of wheat in the finish..the strawberry that was ever-present in the nose was more absent in the flavor, emphasizing just subtly its fruit....it tasted more like strawberry leaves than the fruit itself, but was very true to strawberry notes (all natural)..nice summer brew

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Schmohz. Described as "the ridiculously good beer," with a label featuring a smiling pickle and strawberries. Very peculiar. Anyway, the body was cloudy light yellow-orange, topped by a thin off-white head. The aroma was light and sweet, with grassy hops and light, fresh strawberry. Sadly, the body was thin to the point of flavorless, and what was there didn’t come together well. A touch of wet socks and sour astringency paired with the light strawberry skin flavors. It seems like there’s a base that can be improved on here, though. The concept of a light summer beer with a touch of strawberry is a refreshing one, particularly on an 86 degree May day.
