Bottle picked up at the brewpub. Pours a dark amber. Small white head. Grainy aroma. Flavor of caramel and bitter. Mouth feel is a nicely balanced bitter. Very solid offering, much better then expected.

Amber color out of the bottle with a nice khaki colored head. Light grainy nose with some citrus hops and something vaguely chemical. Flavors of lightly toasted white bread, with some tea, raw grain, fruit and a red grapefruit bitterness. Lingering grapefruit hops in the finish. There is something vaguely sour in the background.

Bottle: The aroma consists of some yeast fruitiness, light toasty notes, and a touch of nuts. It pours a transparent copper with a one finger cream colored head. The flavor starts lightly fruity with mild caramel. The finish has toasty notes, light nuts, faint grapefruit, and herbal hops. It’s light bodied with somewhat lively carbonation and a mouthfeel that is a tad prickly at times.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a small head. Caramel malt aroma plus a little floral and herb hops. Getting a hint of sourness too (possibly infected?). Taste is ok. Malty sweetness, solid bitterness. Not very smooth though and there is a bit of sourness that throws it off. Not a bad beer just not very good.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 demitriustown (980) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - MAY 19, 2012
12 oz bottle: Aroma is nicely hoppy fruity grapefruit coming through intermingled with a malty backing that is nicely well balanced. Appearance is cloudy very dark amber with a thick white head that lingers. Taste is smooth this has got a really nice mixture of hop notes and malt characteristics that just make it really drinkable. Palate has medium to low carbonation with and somewhat clean aftertaste. Overall, Good beer. Cheers!

tap at the brewpub last summer - Pours amber and has a mild, malty aroma. The flavor has some caramel malts and mild to moderately strong hop bitterness that lingers on the palate. The hops don’t strike me as very crisp. It’s light bodied and an okay quaff, but something’s missing.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 jgb9348 (4027) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JAN 9, 2011
Deep dark brown, muddy coloured body with a thin tan head that fades fast. Aroma of fresh grapes and apples, some light malt, a touch of hops and a bunch of citrus. Light-bodied; Some fruity flavours at first with a taste of light hops and a little of the malt. Aftertaste is very mild with some fruit, sweetness and not much else - no hops at all to speak of. Overall, a pretty mild beer, not really showing much ESB characteristics or hops or malt, really. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 06-November-2010 for US$1.59 sampled at home in Washington on 09-January-2011.

A nice crisp, clean, start. Easy on the taste buds with a small punch of bitter. Then a nice floral finish with the hops
