3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 darkseduction (348) - Zweibrücken, GERMANY - DEC 18, 2010
Bottle 50cl. Pours a copper-coloured brew with fine off-white head. Nice texture and smell, hoppy and grainy. Hazelnuts, sweet maltyness, dry hops in the background. Hides alcohol very well. Nice brew!
1.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 bacchanalia (145) - milton, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2010
Pours out a deep amber with a hint of pink, the head is firm & white & persistant, look very appealing but I’m afraid that’s where the good points end. Nose is very muted can’t really get anything off it. The palate is quite full but the flavours are all over the place, loads of syrupy sweetness, a quite unpleasant chemically cardboardy flavour & a nasty bitter finish. Can’t drink this
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 lusikka (2062) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 27, 2010
500 ml bottle. Rated @ 8.5.2010.
Pours a clear amber colour with a small white head. Sweet aroma of caramel malts. Very sweet on the flavour with toffee and loads of alcohol. Alcohol pushes through hard. Hard carbonation too. Medium sweet with slick mouthfeel and burning alcohol. Not good.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 tlind2 (815) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 29, 2010
500 ml bottle. Amber color, frothy white head. Alcohol aroma. Malt and alcohol flavor with some winy notes. Full body, medium carbonation. Not worth the trouble.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 rosenbergh (3145) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 13, 2010
500 ml bottle. Finland.
Clear amber colour with big fluffy off-white head.
Sweetish aroma of berries, caramel and some fruitiness. Flavour is dry. Some bitter hops, berries and alcohol. Reminds me of strong Baltic Lagers. I will not join the fan club.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 sayravai (4526) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 24, 2010
(Bottled, sampled 2010-05-07) Clear, deep copper with a smallish, quite firm, but completely fading head. Very caramely nose with some toffee maltiness, and a touch of berries, flowery hops, and diacetyl. Quite harshly boozy when warmer. Slightly harsh flavor with grainy malt, some diacetyl, berries, and quite a bit of harsh alcohol burn - as well as surprisingly much bitterness for the style. Medium body with burning alcohol and lots of CO2. Quite useless, berryish-bitter and alcoholic brew, that feels more like Olvi Tuplapukki than a traditional German bock.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Kavu (938) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JUL 23, 2010
Pours brown with a light head. Aroma is sweet malts and alcohol. Flavor is much of the same. Too much alcohol coming through and no real character.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 TEJA (712) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 22, 2010
Bottle from Alko. High white foam that quickly dissapears. Malty aroma that is dark but not from chrystal malts but more Munchner or Wiener. The taste is also malty and a tuch of alcohol. Not much hops or bitterness. Nice big body.
