Commercial Description:
This Beer is bottled in 500ml SCHNEIDER bottles.
This unique beer is the result of the long friendship of Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The two brewmasters feel that Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse represents the quality, tradition and terroir of the Bavarian Hallertauer hop region paired with the innovation and creative energy for which Brooklyn is famous.

Foaming rocky haze in requisite trumpet. Aroma immediately evocative of Belgium for me- that of a juicily hopped, unspicy, citrussy Tripel (Rulles?). Lemon and lime jelly, marmalade, spruce, rind, fibrous grapefruity hop. Wow. Nothing Germanic going on here whatsoever. The hops have just completely smashed the wheat to the canvas in the first round, which is great but I wanted the two to scrap it out. Flavour an accidental and unexpectedly pleasurable mouthful of soap, swallowed bathfoam/bubble mix, densely citrussy hop bittersweetness, without even the faintest trace of alcohol. Absolutely not a ’Weizen Bock’, but an American Pale Tripelweizen, and I love it, but what happened to the weizen? It’s just a bit too interchangeable with a marmaladey Belgian Tripel for me. Now, a genuinely balanced fusion of silky estery banana, bubblegum, pepper, wheaty sharpness AND punchy American hops at 8.2%, now THAT really would be interesting....

Pours from bottle a very hazy yellow, forming a nice white foamy head. Aroma of clean bready yeast, spices, perhaps corriander. Flavour was full bodied, crisp clean wheats, malts and spices. The smoothness tended to balance the beer out leaving me wanting more. Very excellent beer.

Bottle thanks to dkachur! Hazy golden yellow color with a strong banana aroma. Flavor is that of banana bread with tangy citrus as well. Hoppy as well, more so than expected.

nice amount of cediment in this one, hazy pour, yellowish color, lots and i mean lots of perfect foam ( looked so pretty) nose has some nice hops and that german wheat beer smell. flavor is intresting hops move more to the background, fruity, definate wheat. good finish, could drink a few more of these.

500ml bottle. Whatever you do, don’t pour the yeast. The beer is light yellow and the yeast is dark brown... turn-off. That happened on my second pour though so I’m cool. Pours cloudy, ddep, straw yellow, big crisp white head, decent retention, some lace. Smells light bready, yeasty malty with lots of banana. Tastes about the same. Lots of banana with yeasty and spicey, bready malts. Medium body, crisp carbonation.

Hazy yeasty, big cloudy off-white head, lace. Very spicey, alcoholic nose. Wheaty, licoricey, full-bodied with some hops. A bit weird weizenbock. Interesting, but slight dissapointment as I am a fan of both breweries.
