Commercial Description:
This Beer is bottled in 500ml SCHNEIDER bottles.
This unique beer is the result of the long friendship of Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The two brewmasters feel that Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse represents the quality, tradition and terroir of the Bavarian Hallertauer hop region paired with the innovation and creative energy for which Brooklyn is famous.

500 ml bottle shared by Lubiere (merci!), served cold in a goblet. MA06/09.

App.: Dirty orange-gold with lots of yeast flecks, ring of white head. Aroma: Pine, orange peel, pineapple, tropical fruits, tangy mango, apricot, a wicked fruit salad with hop backing. Palate: Medium body, fairly full but gentle effervescence. Flav.: Lots of the esters but also some great pine/resin/earthy hops, spiciness (coriander), slightly wooden, grapefruit; off-dry and so-so bitterness with a pleasant fruity-malt finish.

An absolute masterpiece, I love this beer.

Draught@Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A foggy orangey-golden body, coated by a thin and dense offwhite head. Delicious, fresh hop aroma; sweet citrus, mango, apricot, flowers and grass, backed by a crisp wheat scent. Taste has a fine citric fruitiness, a clean and medium sweet wheat character. Notes of honey and fine fruity hoppiness. Well-bodied, smooth and extremely inviting. Amazing stuff!

500 ml bottle. Finland. Dark orange colour with medium white head. Fruits, banana, toffee/caramel, smoothiness and some alcohol in aroma. Rich, yeasty, fruity flavour with some alcohol present. Very enjoyable. I would like to try the other one, Brooklyner Schneider version...

At a tasting, thanks shachar. Murky somewhere between yellow and light orange colour, aroma of banana, tropical fruits, bubblegum, Strong pronounced bitterness with soapy perfumy notes and some alcohol coming through, strong and pleasant sour aftertaste starting strong but fading quite quickly. Very intresting and beautifully balanced beer.

500 ml bottle in weizen glass. Opaque cloudy orange amber with lasting white head and lace. Banana orange peel and hop pellet aroma. Sweet honey peach flavor overwhelmed by tart hoppy finish with lingering bitterness like chewed grapefruit peel. Medium body and medium low carbo make for nice mouthfeel. I just don’t think it works. Why hop a good weizen bock? I don’t want a bitter tart weizen. It doesn’t taste good. I find it amazing that this is rated higher than Weihenstephaner Vitus. Anyhow, that’s just me I guess. Had to change this from Brooklyn & Schneider. Got ’em mixed up.

At a tasting, thanks Shahar, Nice hazy orange with a small to medium head, aroma of apricots, vanilla, marmalade balanced with some acidity and herbs, flavors of apricots with some wild herbs, some alcohol and some bitter herby finish, complexity is great, body is full, the beer is well balanced and mature.
