Commercial Description:
This Beer is bottled in 500ml SCHNEIDER bottles.
This unique beer is the result of the long friendship of Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The two brewmasters feel that Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse represents the quality, tradition and terroir of the Bavarian Hallertauer hop region paired with the innovation and creative energy for which Brooklyn is famous.

500ml bottle (Janoinen Lohi, Helsinki)
Rich toffee/caramel colour, small head. Sweet caramel and banana aroma from Schneider. Tons of nettles from Brooklyn. Perfumey palate, but also nettles retronasally. Quite alcoholic, but also perfumey in the taste. Still rather nettley. Not as good as Aventinus. Had a sip from someone else’s glass too - that was soapy and tasted of disinfectant - not good (so docking 1 point overall).

[2016-20090222] 500mL bottle. Lovely hoppy citrus aroma. Murky, light brown orange body with a long-lasting foamy white head and lots of floaties. Toasted yeast flavour has citrus lemon hops throughout. Medium body is a little bitter. Nice aroma.

(Bottle) Dark orange and cloudy. Larger, dense and lightly tan coloured head. Strong pine aroma with fruitiness. Medium bodied and bit warming palate with medium carbonation. Fruitiness, banana, pine, bitterness and sweetness in taste. Banana and bitterness in aftertaste.

On tap at Wildeman. Wow. Another excellent team-up of two choice brewers. Grapefruit-colour body with thick head. Taste of wheat, hops, rice and sweet fruits. Quite nice and I could recognize both brewers in the flavours and texture. ABV is very high and very well-hidden. Goes down very well.

A very hazy golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. A very strong aroma of hop bitters with sweets of wheat and fruits. like banana’s with citrus. The taste is hop bitter with the sweets of a German Weisse. These taste are having a battle. In the aftertaste the bitterness of the American hops is predominating.

Sampled draught at Bishops Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a cloudy dark golden colour with a rich, sticky white foam. Fresh, fruity and fragrant aroma of spicy and floral noble hops, yeast, cloves, cookies, mild lemon and apricots. Medium to full-bodied with notes of yeast, cloves, oranges, apricots, fresh grassy and spicy hops with touches of dough and crackers. Long medium-bitter and hop aromatic finish of orange-peels, grass, mandarin, yeast and spices.

Awesome looking pour, cloudy amber body with a big soapy head. The aroma is stunning. This has got to be the best smelling beer I’ve ever enjoyed...its the standard wheaty/banana goodness of a hefe, meets a bizarre, but wonderful citric/spiced cider fruitiness. Wow. Ok, the flavor is pretty good too - something like a toned down version of the aroma. Many of the standard hefe notes are present, the tropical/citrus hop flavors really add an extra kick. Medium bodied, relatively dry, and pretty refreshing for such a big beer. Mild alcohol warmth late in the finish. This beer rules...I would like to see a lot more hopped up hefes after drinking this thing.

(Bottled) Opaque orange with a small, lightly lacy and partly lasting head. Very pleasant, exotic-fruity, citric-aromatic-hoppy nose with peppery-coriandery spiciness, and a touch of alcohol. The neutral flavor is wheaty-malty with orange-peel-fruitiness, but also some dull-ashy touches. Medium to full, slicky body with soft carbonation. Definitely an interesting hybrid, but unfortunately the somewhat dull flavor is no match for the great, hoppy aroma.
