Jan 2, 2009 Sampled on 1/1/2009. This weizen bock pours a slightly hazy medium orange gold color from a 500ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with excellent retention and good lacing. The aroma is floral, banana, clove and caramel malt. A medium bodied weizen bock. The malts are caramel, cereal and sweet, with hints of banana and pineapple. The hops are spicy and floral.
Lively carbonation, with lots of very small bubbles. Some melon and pear flavor in the middle of the taste. Touch of alcohol at the finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean, crisp and a little dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with a touch of alcohol.

Dec 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours with a very murky yellow color. At the end all the sediments cause the beer to turn murky brown. Turned my wife of for sure. However the beer is very interesting: first off it pours with a gigantic head that quickly dissipates. Aroam is complex, I get citrus but also caramel and gingerbread spices. Flavor is more like citrus with a dry hops finish. I really enjoyed this one.

Dec 20, 2008 Pours with a huge, rocky, off-white head. Light brown body with good lacing from the head. Aroma of caramel, raisins, banana, toffee, vanilla, and a slight hop in the finish. Taste is alcohol, yeast, and raisins. Very rich but cut a bit by the dry mouthfeel. Light bubbles.

Dec 13, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Pretty nice. Complex. Pours a huge mother head with floaties. Flavor is just what it promises. A wheat with hops. Spicy flavor. Quite nice.

Dec 11, 2008 Excellent weizen bock. A hopped up version of Aventinus. Cloudy and bright gold liquid with a decent head. Excellent aroma. Sweetly spicy and fruity. Notes of banana clove and wheat combine with citric hops. A whole lot of strength to the nose. Flavor is sweet lemons and the spiced biscuit taste of good wheat. Sudsy mouthfeel on this very refreshing beer. Perfect for a hot summer day.

Dec 10, 2008 I love the addition of hops to a weißbier. This makes a perfect combination for next summer. It tastes much better as it warms. A good balance of hoppiness and that yeasty banana and clove flavor that Bavaria knows how to brew well.

Dec 7, 2008 Bottle Pours out a hazy gold topped with a tall cream head. Aroma was great clove, spice, and light hops. Tast more of the hops and spice. Nice and thick. I have had a few and they are GREAT. I will have to save a few for later in the year.
