Commercial Description:
This Beer is bottled in 500ml SCHNEIDER bottles.
This unique beer is the result of the long friendship of Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The two brewmasters feel that Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse represents the quality, tradition and terroir of the Bavarian Hallertauer hop region paired with the innovation and creative energy for which Brooklyn is famous.

Should this be a weizenbock? Really?? Hazy golden, some off white head. Strong exotic fruit and citric hop aroma. Pinapple, mango, and banana. Strong bitterness, light fruity, floral, citrusy exotic fruit flavor. Some wheat character, light spiciness. Clean, lively palate, slightly overcarbonated.

500 ml bottle marked 8.2%. Hazy gold color with frothy 7 finger off-white head. Aromas are primarily citrus and wheat with a fair backing of banana. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is wheat, citrus, clove spice. It’s wild. Tropical fruit comes and goes. Finishes very dry and pretty bitter. Not to mention a bit spicey. It’s a sensational drink.

500ml bottle from Utobeer. Cloudy dirty/gold/brown. Thick beige head. Hop, banana, bubblegum, grapefruit aroma. Cereal in mouth. Lovely hoppy aroma. Plenty of hop and cereal in mouth. Lovely version of a weisse, like a weizen IPA. Hops are quite resiny/piney, but goes well with the banana bubblegum. What a lovely drink. I had this as an aperatif to Sunday lunch after doing some work in the morning and felt like I’d earned it. Alcohol doesn’t come through at all. Some passionfruit/mango throughout. Stunning.

Pours a hazy yellow with particles in it. The head is very frothy and energetic. Has definite aroma of banana, spices, cloves, and citrus. The taste is slighly heavy with all of the notes present in the aroma, a bit heavy on the banana. The finish is kind of peppery and banana-y and I swear I taste Bretomyces.

16.9 oz.bottle on 6/17/08.

Aroma - Floral, spicy dlove, light stone fruit, and citrus

App - Cloudy, bright gold pour with a healty, durable white head and thick, sheeting lace.

Flavor - Very subtle light sweetness, zesty tartness, gentle bitterness, perfectly balanced.

Palate - Light to medium body, medium carbonation, clean and dry palate.

This is simply a wonderful "collaboration" effort, and a sensitive and well done evolution of the style.

Upon opening the bottle there was a noticeable lack of aroma. The flavor is like that of a weak spicy banana. Not impressed.

Really unique weizenbock because of all the hops. Great aroma of hops. Pours deep, cloudy gold (more tan-brown once you get all the sediment from the bottom), with classic wheat-beer carbonation bubbles, but lots of floating particles, too. White bubbly head. Taste was way more hops than I expect-- it has the mouthfeel (tingle) of a wheat beer, with a bit of fruit and honey, but the hops really dominate. This is really in its own class.

Aroma of honey and lemon citrus. Golden yellow and opaque with fizzy white head. Strong honey comb, lemon, pine, and fruit aroma. Thick body with strong carbonation. Bitter finish with a good long duration. Very good.
