Commercial Description:
This Beer is bottled in 500ml SCHNEIDER bottles.
This unique beer is the result of the long friendship of Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The two brewmasters feel that Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse represents the quality, tradition and terroir of the Bavarian Hallertauer hop region paired with the innovation and creative energy for which Brooklyn is famous.

Big thanks to joss for the bottle. The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass is incredible. Very turbid, aroma like a barley wine. Tastes the same - very strong, hoppy, finish very long and intense. Can’t remember a beer as good as this!

Bottle. Large fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished, spotty amounts of lacing, transparent, lively, fast rising carbonation observed, and a golden hue. Nose was hoppy, citrus, spicy, fruity, some clove, wheat, and hint of banana. Flavor is fruity, hoppy, some spiciness, and wheat. Smooth and slightly tingly mouthfeel. Medium in body. Quaffable, balanced and good for the style. Worthy of a try.

Golden pour with big white head. Aroma is very wheaty with lots of floral hops and even some butterscotch. Flavor is fruity, dominated by bavarian yeast, some butterscotch note and floral hops with a touch of candi sugar in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel it’s really smooth but dominated by a candi sugar sweetness and the dry-hops and strange but also the yeast that is just buttery.

bottle - thank you pivnizub! Very very cloudy yellow-orange colour, large and creamy and very stable head. Yeasty, fruity, hints of banana, estery alcohol. Very intensive flavours and a very intensive hoppy bitterness make this beer really fascinating.

Bottle. [Courtesy of DerDoppelbock]. Murky yellow orange / grey color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, wheat, moderate to heavy hoppy, grape, citrus, moderate yeasty, banana. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Very very nice ;o)) (080208)

Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a murky brown color weisse with a big foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of wheat with some dry Hallertauer hops is different and very interesting. Taste is also dominated by wheat with huge floral and dry hops combining to make a really interesting beer. Body is full with limited filtration and loads of lees at the bottom with some great carbonation with no apparent alcohol. The malt somehow reminded me of a double wheat brewed by the Middle Ages brewery. Interesting but not necessarily something I would go for very often – I will stick with the regular weisse which is still a very good staple of the style.

Pours gold with a large head. Aroma of earthy hops, clove, and banana. Hop aroma is too strong for me. Flavor is a bit boring, decent bite at the end. Not what I look for in this style.

Appearance: Opaque orange body with a full, frothy, white head. Smell: Juicy fruit aroma of apricots, citrusy grapefruit, even some pineapple. Notes of clove, banana, and wheat dough all take a backseat to the hop aromas. Taste: Jumps right in the citric, sweet fruit juices from the aroma. Big bite of orange pith. Drop of banana smoothie with some white pepper tossed in. Quick hint of vanilla in the middle. Sure, there’s some tangy wheatiness, but all of the wheat characteristics are obscured by all the hops. A touch of acidity along the way. Substantial hop spices with a medium, though lasting bitterness. Juicy, bittersweet finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: The hops really boost the aroma and flavor up without adding any overbearing bitterness. It’s something different, I’ll give it that.
