Commercial Description:
This Beer is bottled in 500ml SCHNEIDER bottles.
This unique beer is the result of the long friendship of Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The two brewmasters feel that Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse represents the quality, tradition and terroir of the Bavarian Hallertauer hop region paired with the innovation and creative energy for which Brooklyn is famous.

Bottle. Super nice golden/amber color. Aroma is not what I expected - instead of the usual banana/clove aroma found in many german weizens, this beer has a nice yeast aroma, akin to a belgian ale. Flavor also reminds me more of a Belgian ale. Nice flavor with a hint of sourness. Pretty good.

this beer is DRAFT ONLY. only 39 ratings? wow. my first BOTTLE we drank way too drunk because cmubeerman wanted to. the second one shattered in a calamitous refrigerator accident (half msonnnenberg’s fault). finally i’m having it properly (if the hops are a few weeks faded oh well). deep brown orange hefe appearance with generous head. holy shit the dregs were thick. now my beer looksl ike mud. smells like candy. then you get closer and the hops show as well. i was thinking this smells a lot like bubble gum, then i saw the bubblelicious sitting less than a foot from the glass. nevertheless, great aroma. honeyed tripel on top of a hop background. the hops remind me of lagunitas farmhouse hop stoopid. first sip is a little bland and overcarbonated. as i continue to drink this i find myself not impressed with robust flavor but rather enjoying the mild balance. i think the hops have faded.

Bottle bought at THE KEG LIQUORS in Clarksville IN. Pours a hazy golden with a huge pillowy white head. Great looking pour. The first thing I noticed in the aroma was a fair amount of hops. Then came the spices, mild clove, bananna, grains and citrus. All of which were fantastic. THe flavor has a nice tart zest to it. There are piney hops, spices, lemon and when it warms a little more hops seem to come out. Pretty awesome overall. Thanks for recommending this one to me Todd.

Bottle bought at Schneider bräuhaus in Munich. A hazy golden beer with a big white head. The aroma is of bananas, spices, lemon and hops. The taste is light banana, spicy and hoppy. Medium to full body with a light bitter dry finish, quit good!

500ml bottle. Nicely spicy, fruity aroma, lightly sweet and estery with notes of lemon, banana, fresh, leafy hops, faint clove and doughy yeast, along with some lightly honeyed apple in the background. Cloudy dark golden color with a lasting, foamy head. Flavor profile is a nice combination of malty sweetness, grainy wheat, citrus, peppery spice, and substantial hop bitterness, with some faint alcohol towards the finish, which is long, gently acidic and warming. Lingering clove, leafy hop flavor and phenols. Fluffy, dry, well-carbonated palate with a medium-full body. Possesses some mild complexity and a good depth of flavor. Recommended.

My brother and I enjoyed this in the bierhaus in Munich. The color out of the bottle was a nice golden color until the sediment became involved. Then, it was a gloriously murky mess of brownish gold, with a white head which dissipated to nice thickness and just stayed. The aroma was all citrus, bitterness, and earth. The flavor was earthy to te point of nearly seeming dirty. The citrusy hops cut through everything, complimenting the yeast and lemony wheat. The piney undertone was almost forgotten with the powerful citrus and even more powerful bitterness taking full control. This was a standout beer in my beer pilgrimmage to Germany and Brussels, not because it was the best, but because it was unique to the trip. This one will not be easily forgotten. Might have to get my bro to send me some more if he can find it.

Deep, hazy gold. Sticky, off-white head settles pretty quickly to a solid half inch, and stays through the pint, leaving nice lacing. Banana ester is quite strong in this bottle, with a hearty kick of clove. It does not make a pleasant combination with the abundant, somewhat aggressive hops. Sweet malt enters the mix, and does not help the situation. On the thin side of medium in the mouth. The hops and spicy wheat are in control here, though the clove makes itself known in the long finish. Good slightly sweet malt in there as well. A bit hot to boot. Definitely tastes better than it smells. Carbonation is appropriate for a weizen, with the abundant bubbles doing a fine palate-scrubbing job here. Full points for originality here, but I just don’t like this. It’s virtually undrinkable for me.
