The normal Aventinus is great and this is a concentraded version if it, can’t go wrong with that. Very good stuff! sjolles85 (80), Tampa, Florida, USA

The concentration of flavor is outstanding, and even though its 12% you cant really taste or feel the alcohol on the palate. evanrail (41), Prague, Czech Republic
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 9, 2009 An amazing amount of sediment and gunk at the bottom of this three-month-cellared bottle which retains most of the great spice and stewed fruit flavors of the regular Aventinus, presenting them anew in greater concentration and depth. Outstanding. joeneugs (308), Livermore, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2009 Pours a dark caramel color with a small fizzy head that disappears immediately. It has a tart nose of yeast and dark fruits cherries and prunes. Dark fruity flavor as well with yeast and dried fruits. The sweetness is tempered by a little hop bitterness (spicyness) in the end. I was expecting a richer flavor for some reason, but its still a very lively, meduim bodied , tasty brew RWWP (18), Ancaster, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Murky brown with a prominent head. Tastes medicinal, more like a wine than an ale. Too strong for quaffing. Maybe suitable for a winter’s sipping, but wouldn’t want to do more than one bottle in an evening! Sparky27 (1583), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

The nose is brown sugar , yeast and dark fruits. The taste is raisins, dates, caramel and yeast with some spice in the finish. Medium bodied. Very good – I don’t usually enjoy overly sweet beers but this is put together well. wingman333 (236), San Antonio, Texas, USA

Tastes a lot like the regular Aventinus doppelbock, only more intense. Warm and spicy mouthfeel with slight alcohol tingle. Strong caramel tones, sweet, delicious.
