| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 8, 2008 50cl bottle from Knightly Spirits (Orlando) courtesy of markwise. Pours a cloudy dark brown with very little head or lacing. Aroma: brown sugar, sweet caramel, maple syrup. Medium to full-bodied beer that tastes of caramel and toffee with a somewhat noteworthy alcohol taste at times. Interesting beer. Dacrza (252), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 8, 2008 Bottle 01568. Pours as black as velvet can get, with a thick, pillowy rootbeer head in a snifter--could be the fifth horseman of the apocalypse by its intimidation... complex scents-- citrus fruit, freshly mown hops grass, and a grapefruit mix... thin and crisp on the tongue... lingering aftertaste that holds like a pilsner... citrusy notes abound, with the slightest alcohol... hops are subdued, while the malts are impaling! HEAVY.... These guys are the masters, and though above my usual palate, this beer is a steam roller, obliterating any pre-existing taste in the mouth andforcefully asserting its power... memorable and warming. Clear brown in color with no head. Alcohol nail polish smell. Caramel toffee taste with a nice palate. deathevocation (6), Australia does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 1, 2008 I’ve been eyeing this off at the local store for a while. I’d never tried an eisbock and was perhaps put off by the alcohol content thinking it’ll be too overpowering. I shouldn’t have never doubted this as just like every other beer Schneider brews, this was great. I think the other reviews nail the description spot on so I want add anything other than to say grab a bottle. jason (1621), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is brown sugar, sweet malt and dried fruit. Flavor is brown sugar, dried fruit malty and some grape flavor noted. For it’s high abv, it sure went down quickly. drfabulous (1222), Columbia, Missouri, USA
