3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A big beer stowed away for several months. Medium brown color, not much head retention. Astonishing storm of CO2 and unfiltered sediments. Aroma of heavy fruit and rum cake. Syrupy sweet, hints of banana spice and rot. Thick body, though not overwhelming. Alcohol is mellow but not subtle. Not differentiated from standard Aventinus, and can be summed up as having more booze and less wheat.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark brown pour, thick foamy head that settles down to minimal layer with tiny little bubbles. Aroma is big syrupy malty sweetness, it’s thick even in the nosterals. Taste is rasins, some spice a bit of harshness from the booze as it warms some butterscotch and nuttiness comes through and the harshness tempers off. Good stuff.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a murky deep brown with a light tan head. Aroma of wheat, caramel, banana, sugary, dark fruits, plum, raisins, malts. A bit wine-like, with noticeable alcohol in the finish. Beautiful beer, will definitely drink this again this season.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Texture hyper huileuse !
A découvrir !
Attention, ça nourrit pas mal : deux bières de ce type et vous avez fait votre repas !

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount. Deep brown appearance with a light tan head. Sweet, malty aroma with caramel, sugar, chocolate, bread, clove, banana, dark fruity esters, syrup, alcohol and yeast. Similar flavor, heavy sweetness and minimal bitterness, mostly hiding the alcohol. Medium to full body with a creamy feel and soft carbonation. Too sweet for me.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A - Nice, equal foam, light, goes away fast
Dark amber, brown, dark wood-like color
Cloudy, yeast visible, light carbonation
Looks like some barley wine/trappist beers, inviting
S - Very nice - first some figs, plums, raisins, then the alcohol note hits the nerves, feels like you smell these dried fruit soaked in rum - sweet and potent. There is a hint of something slightly acid - wine like, and some apple almost fusel notes.
T - Very impressive and rich. It starts with in rum soaked raisins, plums, prunes, reminds me of plum wine or maybe Porto, definitely some brandy/oak notes in there. A lot of sweet, malty, caramel taste. There is a hint of banana and slight sour/wine notes. It gets a little spicy, probably do to high alcohol content which kicks out slightly towards the end but sums up all the flavours very very good. Gets yeasty towards the end.
M - Medium, heavy at the end body; low carbonation, palate fullness; there is warming from the high alcohol content - it is felt after you swallow.
O - Incredibly rich, complex yet finely tuned beer. 12% alcohol content is well incorporated into the flavour and it’s presence enhances the experience and all the complexity of this incredible beer. Very impressive.

At the end a shot of alcohol and pepper...

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Interesting style, thought I would give it a whirl
Pours hazy muddy light brown, minimal head.
Smell big wheat sweetness, normal gum and clove accentuated. Some added red fruit.
Taste sweet sticky gum, burn on tail. Weizen comes out more than the bock, sort of like an imperial Hef, but one that tastes good and balanced.
Stronger, fuller bodied
Nice beer, glad I picked it up

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
11.2oz bottle into weiss glass. Cloudy mocha with a tall tan head that quickly drops to a ring and leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is banana, bubblegum, clove, and alcohol. Taste is clove, alcohol, phenol, fig, banana, bready malts. Certainly malt-forward, but the sweetness is held in check by the other elements. Medium-full body, very creamy and sticky around the mouth, velvety soft carbonation, with an astringent finish.
