4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Appearance: Utter, complete, total perfection. Caramel syrup with cotton foam. Extremely thick. There is complete darkness; no light gets through when held up to light.
Smell: Bananas. Cloves. Chocolate. Bubblegum. Smells like a hef on steroids. Sweet maple syrup with a hint of pine. Smells like whiskey when it warms.
Taste/Mouthfeel: This stuff is strong. Extremely full-bodied. Pine, caramel, cloves, and a hint of maple hit you first. Then the bourbon, vanilla, and oak, followed by plum and banana. Some coffee in the finish. Tastes like an IPA, hef, and stout all in one.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330 mL bottle from World of Beer. The pour is a dark dark brown/light black with a thin tan head that fades down quickly leaving no lace. There is a little bit of a soda-like dissipating nature of the head. The aroma is a little malty with a touch of yeast. There is a resounding sweetness on the back end, but it's relatively good. The flavor is a little different. I'm getting a lot of Belgian notes in it, which is a little strange. The yeast and malt are just surprising for an eisbock. The mouth feel is nicely done with a good carbonation to it and just solid. The aftertaste is a little lingeringly bitter, almost like a black licorice.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours the same as Aventinus, tiny white head. Aroma is sweet, boozy, dark fruits. Well carbonated, sticky mouthfeel, long lasting after-taste. Flavor is banana, ripe dark fruit, malt, alcohol burn at the end. One and done on this bad boy. A cold-weather beer for sure.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep smell of banana, butterscotch, clove, raisins, plums and trappist inputs with added rum feel to it. A bit boozy. Taste is more intense on the dark fruits, raisin, butterscotch, dates and rum. Very intense and quite well masked, wouldn’t want another one though.

Drunk a few times. Had one last night while playing darksouls. gonna try a bunch of heavy duty beers while playing it cuz it seems like the perfect combo. takes the edge of my ragequits at least. so this pours a cloudy muddy orange with medium head tan head. aroma is amazing. banoffee pie, dried fruits, some orange. taste is similar. malty sweetness balanced with a big warming hit of booze and a slightly sour aftertaste. big body holds the alcohol well. its quite fizzy and feels great to drink. when i first had it i thought it was too strong, but now its one of my absolute favs. smooth and completely delicious

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark brown, beige head. Aroma and taste are full of fruits like banana, figs, raisins and plums, roasted but sweet malts, vanilla, clove, wine tones and a bourbon-boozy burn: quite complex, yet relatively easy drinkable. Lingering sweet aftertaste. Full body, (too) lively carbonation, soft mouthfeel. Great beer.
