Pours dark roasted amber color with a beige dissipating head. Aroma is bananas and dates. Flavor is complex fruity with chocolate, banana, dates, and sweet malt. Very smooth not sickly sweet even though it has a lot of sugary flavors. The sweet palate balances out the weight of the 8.2% alc. Very nice evening sipper!

The beer is ideal for a night drink and complex thoughts. The taste is complex - from fruit to some candies. The only weak thing is smell - it feels like it’s rotten

Bottle in the Town Street Tavern, Horsforth. Cloudy chestnut beer with a Good cream head. Loads of flavour with banana, wheat, citrus and spice with cinnamon and cloves especially. A touch of chocolate and treacle. Really tasty.

Bottle from Cornelius as part of my German beer education. Pours murky ruby brown, decent off white head. Big banana nose, fruity, yeasty. Sweet fruity taste, very smooth. Hides alcohol very well. Mysterious but tasty.

500 ml bottle. Cant’t believe I have not rated this before now. Pours a copper color with a rocky beige head. Aroma has it all! Bananas, toffee, rum, cloves and allspice. Tangy, complex yeasty toasted wheat malt flavor upfront. Chewy malty mouthfeel. Complex flavors abound. Raisins, vanilla, sourdough, toasted wheat and tropical, fruit. Tasty and a must have.

For a cold Dagobah water lookin’ mahfah it sure is tasty. Smell is of burnt toffee, roasted malts, wheat, bubblegum, basement, dank, leather and brown sugar. Taste is well.....what you smell in this case, and it’s very good. It’s everything you could ask for in a German brau. Nice peppy mouthfeel, the alcohol is 8.2% (I JUST looked) and you can barely taste it. Get one into you.

Bottle BBE: 16/06/15. Chilled. Very murky, dirty brown body with a considerable, bubbly tan head. Aromas of wheat, over-ripe banana, plum, dough and citrus. White chocolate and macadamia nut cookies. Medium sweetness, a touch of sourness, and an underlying bitterness and dryness. Fullish body, thick, smooth texture, lively carbonation and a lasting finish. An outstanding beer.

Lets face it, it pours a murky swamp water brown with a big frothy head, and I am plenty okay with that. Aroma is of yeast, wheat, basement, plums, and grapes. Tastes of plums, grapes, wheat, and herbs. Average carbonation and smooth with a surprisingly light mouth feel for how strong it is. It also hides its booze very well. This was some great swamp water.
