Deep and complex – for big and relaxing moments by the fire.

Dark-ruby colored wheat doppelbock with a creamy fine head. Strong notes of ripe bananas, raisins and plums meet liquorice and roasty aromes. Full-bodied and warming, with a well-balanced and smooth finish. The ideal companion for hearty roast meat, venison and also fruity chocolate desserts, “Kaiserschmarrn” (pancakes), “Elisenlebkuchen” (christmas cookies) or blue cheese.

Oldest wheat doppelbock of Bavaria. Since 1907. 18.5°

Dark purple brown colour with compact head. Aroma of dark fruits, plums, especially bananas. Taste of dark fruits, bananas. Nice malty aftertaste which is very well balanced. Overall: Very good beer, representative example of this style.

Tapped at Asbury Festhaul and Biergarten. Excellent alcohol retention but never gave the slightest hint of foul filmy resin. Caramel sweetness only enhanced the malt and fruit. Many facets to this baby. Good stuff.

Big, eatery nose; banana, lemon, clove. Taste starts with tart lemon and a mild bock yeast characteristic sourness, balancing a nice malt backbone. Moves to dark fruits and raisin speaking up, then moving to a blast of esters, yet finishing quite dry. A great example of the style, and quite drinkable for the abv.

500 ml, bottled 06.09.13
Dark brown, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, beige head.
Wonderful, deep, unique aroma of ripe banana and various other ripe fruits, marzipan, nuts, some vanilla, wheat, some spices, some booze.
Taste follows this, with some more roast and sligh hops, maybe not fully on par with the nose, but very smooth and warm.
Full, creamy, velvety mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes alcohol warming, astringent, roasty, a bit bitter and smooth, sweet malty.

Delicious! A Weizenbock like no other, accomplished and perfectly balanced. Especially the nose is amazing, a beer you can’t stop smelling! Overall still not my favourite brew from Schneider Weisse, but another fantastic, unique wheat beer by one of my favourite European breweries.

Uitgeschonken in 0,5 liter Weihenstephan bierglas.

Barwa ciemno brązowa (herbaciana), piany mało i szybko opada. Aromat przjyemny, złożony i intensywny, mamy przejrzałe banany, rodzynki, śliwki suszone i lekki aromat rumu.

From a 500ml bottle on 27/3/2015 (bottle labelled Tap 6). Pours a cloudy reddy brown with a small to medium head. Has a powerful aroma of ripe banana, with some dark fruit also in the mix.In the mouth, it’s sweet and inviting, with banana, plums, and some caramel set off against some pronounced wheaty, spicy notes. There is just a hint of bitterness to counter the dessert like elements. The palate is silky and a touch creamy, with the carbonation average to lively. This is an absolutely delicious, complex yet subtle brew, and definitely the finest German beer I’ve downed to date.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Pure heaven, great smell of yeast, caramel, honey and malt Appearance- This is a dark murky brown brew with swirling sediment and a small off-white head. Taste- A masterpiece! I love this flavor, well balanced fruit and spice with malt and yeast. perfectly blended. Palate- This is a medium to heavy beer with moderate carbonation. Has a nice semi-dry finish.
