4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is one of my favorite beers. What better beer to have as my 100th rating.
Bottle. Poured correctly (making sure to get the yeast) into an Aventinus glass, of course. It has a sweet malt, plum, banana and cookie dough aroma. Cloudy brown/red in color with a nice frothy head that lasts for a while. Some lacing. Notes of banana, apple/pear, clove, vanilla with a hint of chocolate. Creamy texture. Nice silky smooth finish. Nice weizenbock.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Amber color with a huge foamy head. Foamed over when I opened the bottle. Well carbonated. Lots of sediment and even a hop leaf were floating in this. Aroma was sweet and hoppy. Flavor was way too sweet for me. Maybe I am not used to the Weizen Bocks, I haven’t tried enough of them. Sweet and Syrupy. I won’t be going after this one again.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
rich , dark brown appearance. smells like raisins and chocolate. tastes like raisin (sweet), plum (tart), and hints of hops and chocolate. A bit of a grape (sour) end on the palate. This is a real fine beer.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice, complex wheat bock. Aroma starts off smelling like a doppelbock and then some weisse-like qualities start to make their way through. A huge foamy head sits above the beer. The malty bock flavors are immediately noticable upon tasting, with a wheaty twang and some spicy wheat beer flavors showing up later. Nice presence from the alcohol too.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled pint. MUDDY! Intensely murky, lots of wheaty sediment swirling around in a deep prunish-gold haze. Hold up to light and it looks like a riverbed. I thought I might see a catfish in there! Poured immense crackly white foam head, yet dissipated rather quickly. Head did not remain. Peppy carbonation, bubbles arose throughout. Obvious clove smell. Doughy sweetness tickles the tongue. I like the tartness leftover in my mouth. Extremely enjoyable.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
certainly one of the best beers have ever had! poured a opaque brown color with a foamy slightly off white head. head shrunk down to a quater of an inch and the rest stood there! Aroma was sweet caramel and bread. The flavor was initally sweet but finished with a mix of wheat and cloves. The taste of cloves was very mild though, but where present.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Mahoganoy in color with a tall, foamy, tan head. Aroma is sweet and wheaty, a little like dough. Caramel and nutty flavor. Metallic and fizzy medium palate.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
What an interesting combination. Classic wheat smells, rather citrusy but more spice, yet the body was a fantastic hazy dark brown, Huge fizzy head that lasted. First sip is crisp, caramel and then the citrus flavours you expect from a wheat. Great clean finish, slight hops in the end. A refreshing and very balanced beer. And I can’t believe it is 8%. A great experience.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a reddish-tan color, massive carbonation, pretty much no head, though bubbles are present on top it is more similar to the carbonation effect on top of a glass of soda than the head of a beer. Aroma is quite spiced, some coriander and cloves, bubblegum and bananas. Aroma is very sharp and sweet, perhaps even sour (if that’s even possible in aroma?). Flavor is initially very malty, somewhat woody, and very, very sweet nearing the finish. Grassy hops end the flavor. Very different, I must say.
