Deep and complex – for big and relaxing moments by the fire.

Dark-ruby colored wheat doppelbock with a creamy fine head. Strong notes of ripe bananas, raisins and plums meet liquorice and roasty aromes. Full-bodied and warming, with a well-balanced and smooth finish. The ideal companion for hearty roast meat, venison and also fruity chocolate desserts, “Kaiserschmarrn” (pancakes), “Elisenlebkuchen” (christmas cookies) or blue cheese.

Poured a dark brown color with a medium white head. Aroma’s of clove, banana, spices and yeast. Flavor was heavy on the yeast with clove, bread, caramel and light hops. Medium mouthfeel with good carbonation

Pours deep caramel brown with a big layer of coarse tan head that settles fairly quickly. Clove and smokey, dark sourdough bread crust aromas. Lots of dark bread character in the flavor too, smokey, sour. Lingering acidity on the palate. A solid beer, but not particularly good for drinking solo. To continue in the dark bread metaphor, it needs cheese or a hunk of summer sausage to go with it. On it’s own it just wears out the mouth.

Bottle. Pours a hazed dark coppery brown with a moderate off-white head that diminishes quickly leaving no lacing. Aroma of sweet dark wheat bread with molasses and lightly floral hops. Spicy sweet flavor, clove, souring dark fruit, yeast and pepper in the finish. Medium body and bountiful carbonation.

Dark brown and opaque from my yeast-including pour, with a nice foamy head that receded to a thick cover and lasted. Strong, spicy clove and banana cream pie aroma with loads of sweet malt--wow! The flavour is a continuation of the so inviting aroma: spicy clove phenolics with black pepper juxtaposed with sweet, malty banana esters. A little bitterness and a bit sweet, but not cloyingly so. Medium to full body and highly carbonated. Packed with flavour!

A real stand out aroma that has almost a apple cider smell. Appearance is a tea colored brown with a gloomy amount of sediment floating. In order for me to create the head i had to pour the beer hard and even after that it dissappeared into a bare headless beer. The flavor has a okay caramel malt added with a touch of spicey yeast and a aftertaste of bitter. A little warming presence of alcohol, but still i didn’t enjoy this all to much

I did not enjoy this one as much as I’d thought. Yeast abounds and the citrus distracts fromt he beer. Caramel and barley malts come through unerneath. Pours red with a thick, lasting head. Great legs. Excellent carbonation.

a nutbrown liquid with a fast diminishing head. The aroma is malty wich goes for the flavour as well. An almost fruity maltiness is outlasted by the woody/slightly smoked aftertaste. It’s an extrodinary weissenbock and it leaves Erdingers version in the kindergarten. My beerpusher told me it was invented by a woman. If I’d known her i’d sent her a bunch of flowers and a box of chocolate!!!

Unpasteurized, unfiltered with top fermantation yeast that settled to the bottom of the bottle. I wish I could tell when this one was bottled, since it’s truly a "live" beer that matures and ripens. Anyway, however ripe this one was, it would be hard to imagine it getting any better with age. Beautiful dark red-brown pour, with an incredible tan head that lasted well; and yet it kept a nice carbonation throughout. Rich, almost warm smells of baked figs(?) and malt. Really an adventure in beer: all that malt and all that wheat, and hardly any hops -- just the way I like it. A kind of nutty, unsweetened cocoa; a hint of raspberry; some smoke: a ton of flavor mixed in a very smoooth nectar with an almost clove-like finish. I loved the last bit -- followed the instructions I was given and left a couple ounces in the bottom and swirled it at the end to pick up the yeast -- what an amazing flavor that was! Overall, this is definitely a massive "WOW!" beer! One to savor. 500ml bottle definitely worth the $2.79 price!! I only wish I’d bought ten!
