UPDATED: MAR 27, 2005 Pours an amazing dark mahogany with a very tall long standing white head, very clear. Aroma starts with sweet malt up front and a wheat spice following and some fruity esters. The flavors starts with a flowing doppelbock sweetness, rich caramel flavors and notes of licorice are followed by wheat and a spicy finish. The yeast adds notes of clove and fruit leading into a very well balanced finish.

Pours dark brown, very cloudy. Very foamy head - The kind of beer that foams right-up even if you try not to pour any head... Grapefruit and pineapple aroma. Creamy mouthfeel. Sweet fruit flavours with a hint of ginger. Mild alcohol finish. What a Treat!!!

Dark amber hazy hue, with a light and thin foamy head, with a multitude of sparkling small bubbles due to the méthode champenoise used. The nose is very fruity of raisin, plum, fig with a clovey spiciness touch, in the aroma, follows through a medium-bodied palate with a fruity-raisiny, dark fruits and sweet malted flavors, leading to a chocolaty accent marrying the clovey aspect in a alcoholic warmth finish.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2006 RATING # 1000!: Big clovey, banana, yeast nose. Deep cloudy ruby colour. Big, compact, lasting ruddy head. This is one of my all time favorites. I cant help but give this high marks. Big clovey, banana, faint caramel, toffee, cocoa, phenols, soft luxurious mouthfeel. Pleasantlly bitter yeasty finish, with subdued alcohol. This is a total classic. The representation of the weizen bock style. Perfection...one of my absolute favorites. One aday will keep em all away.

Cellar Temp. Great aroma of dark fruit, cloves, and molasses. Reddish brown with a effervescent white head. Very complex robust flavors of dominated by cloves and dark spices in a background of unripe berries. Light bodied and highly carbonated. Finish is very clean with just traces of alchohol and brown sugar.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2005 pours dark ruby with a gargantuan head. the aromas of banana and clove that I associate with most wheat beers are here, but less dominant, allowing richer aromas of fruit cake and raisins and berrys to come through. pleasant mouthfeel with a refreshing finish despite the alcohol content.

When I found this beer in a cooler of a convenience store in a small Thai town, I filled my pants and my shopping basket. My glass was filled with a sweet malty aroma; the color and head were as per above photo, with the flavor similar to a malted coke float. Certain sips were almost salty, but I have no idea what the bottle I bought had been through prior to arriving in my living room. Perhaps customs doctored the mixture with a hint of fish sauce. Even so, it was a real treat.
