4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
My first weizenbock, and it was worth the wait. The appearance wasn’t inspiring: cloudy, mud-coloured, with a small head, but the aroma and taste were full of good things. Fruity and sweet with plenty of yeast, this was a wonderful, warming alcoholic beer; easy to drink, utterly delicious.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. This one’s for ’dortmunder’. Pours a beautiful hazy deep red/brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweetish and yeasty and gets a vinous touch as it warms. Flavour is sweet and fruity with yeast and alcohol. My first weizenbock - it’s interesting to suddenly having a weizen with lots of alcohol. 01-11-05.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer left me with a sickly-sweet taste that I didn’t care for at all. The nose also gave off this same quality. At least it’s good and strong.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
this one is for dortmunder, we’ll miss you. lots of sweetness in the aroma, banana, clove, wheat. the flavor is the same, but there is a little bit of abv presence, which is surprising for only 8%. a little thin in the body department, but enjoyable nonetheless. Peace out, Robert.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle - October 2005
Pours an amber colour, with a big rocky and lasting beige head whiceh leaves a beatifull lacing as I sip this one.
Arome is yeasty and spicy (maybe a touch of lemon). Taste is very complex: banana, clove, sweet for a moment, tart for another, you can feel the 8% but it doesn´t burns.
Mouthfeel is thick with all flavours convexing in a very complex experience.
Aftertaste is somewhat tart, sweet and spicy at the same time.
Overall a very nice, complex and strong Dunkel, it was really nice trying this one!!

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2006 THis is what I am talking about, was a Heffeweizen, but not only that, it had this Bock flavor too, my two favorite beers, plus Lambic, combined in one.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of my favorites. I like to drink it only slightly chilled in order for the falvors to come through. Nice.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2006 Looks great. Big head. Great balance. Big and round like Dolly Pardon. Not my first choice in flavor, but an excellent example.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
From the bottle: Flavor was very much like clove. I did not taste the banana that many taste, but the cloves were good albeit slightly overpowering for me. I enjoyed this beer and think it is made quite well. The head is long-lasting and excellent. Drink again!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Dark brown cloudy wheat beer. Bubblegum, lemon and banana, good carbonation, some roast malt gives this more body and is also smoother. Not bad
