Deep and complex – for big and relaxing moments by the fire.

Dark-ruby colored wheat doppelbock with a creamy fine head. Strong notes of ripe bananas, raisins and plums meet liquorice and roasty aromes. Full-bodied and warming, with a well-balanced and smooth finish. The ideal companion for hearty roast meat, venison and also fruity chocolate desserts, “Kaiserschmarrn” (pancakes), “Elisenlebkuchen” (christmas cookies) or blue cheese.

Oldest wheat doppelbock of Bavaria. Since 1907. 18.5°

Flaske. Farven er brunlig rød. Skumkronen er høj flødefarvet og fast. Aromaen er sødlig frugt og krydderier. Smagen er kompleks og fyldig: figner, rosiner og malt. Kan stærkt anbefales.

Dark brown, cloudy, tall rocky head, exellent retention. Smells of spicy yeast, roasted malts, banana, dark fruit, candy. Medium body. Oily. Complex flavour of spice, dark fruit, banana, port wine, grassy hops. Excellent balance. Alcohol well hidden. It’s a delight. Marvelous

Bottle from Wine Rack at PP. Dark hazy amber pour with frothy dense head. Aroma is so weizen and malty. Taste is same - very very malty, weizen foaminess. Not my thing.

At Chappies. Pours red bronze. With a thin white head. Initial spice coriander with a slight sweetness. Almost a Christmas ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Tap at Watering Hole. Cloudy reddish amber to brown with a soapy off-white head that lingers throughout. Chocolate covered banana, tart lemon, prune, raisin bread and light funkiness with some roastiness all present on the nose. Full-flavored on the palate with a light bodied feel. Slighty warming on the finish but really complex flavors hide the abv very well. Wonderful complex...great fall/winter beer.

Pours a dense dark red to brown with a tall khaki head of fine foam that hangs out and leaves a thick wall of lace. Nose involves cinnamon raisin bread, light sulphur, dark fruit and stone fruit notes, and light clove spice. Quite sweet, lightly tart, somewhat bitter. Medium bodied, creamy, softer action, with a long toasty, drying, and spicy hopped finish. An excellent brew that I imagine would really shine paired with a hearty meal as the label suggests.

Good aroma of wheat malt, roasty notes. Beautiful brown appearance, fine white head. Medium sweetness, light-medium bitterness. Full body, creamy texture, average-soft carbonation. Great beer!

Bottle (Schneider Weiss Tap 6 Aventinus). Pours hazy brown-bronze with thick biege head and some lacing. Plum and banana aroma with clove. Some raisin upfront followed quickly by banana bread which increases into a long, pleasant finish. Lighter body than expected with fine carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
