Deep and complex – for big and relaxing moments by the fire.

Dark-ruby colored wheat doppelbock with a creamy fine head. Strong notes of ripe bananas, raisins and plums meet liquorice and roasty aromes. Full-bodied and warming, with a well-balanced and smooth finish. The ideal companion for hearty roast meat, venison and also fruity chocolate desserts, “Kaiserschmarrn” (pancakes), “Elisenlebkuchen” (christmas cookies) or blue cheese.

Oldest wheat doppelbock of Bavaria. Since 1907. 18.5°

Huge, thick, creamy beige head, and a very hazy brown colour, really hazy. Smells banana, as a weizen, but with more sweet notes, caramel. Taste is quite sweet, fruity and spicey, and wheaty too, of course. Hops are not really detectable, but it is very balanced. Medium carbonation, and alcohol well hidden. One of the best german beers for me, just a little less than their Eisbock.

500ml bottle from Beer Hawk - A proper gusher this one!!!! Hazy, cloudy brown body, solid (when it settles) tan head, looks very much like a frappuccino fresh from the Gaggia. Nose is sweet, toffee, vanilla and a hint of banana. The taste is sweet, almost pure sugar, with an outward kick of cloves and other spices. After a heavy beer day, wins the beer of the day. A massive beer!

Pours an average creamy off-white head that mostly lasts. Body is hazy amber, sparkles are visible. Aroma contains dark bread, straw, roasted malts, molasses, flowers, orange, lemon, dough, leather, soap, banana, grape, raisin, pear, peach, cherry, white wine, ruby port, vanilla, alcohol and spices. It's moderate on the malts, light on hops and yeast and quote strong in fruity aroma's. Flavor starts off light acidic, then goes to light sweet and light bitter. Finish is a bit boozy. Body is medium, texture creamy and carbonation soft. This beer is fresh and fruity, with a million things going on in its aroma's and flavors which mostly contain sweet and sour fruits. There's also some white beer taste in there. Yihaa! I want another!

Unclear dark brown copper, nice creamy tan head settles and lasts. Fresh ripe fruity aroma, some wit and spice. Sweet dark malts, fruity yeasty taste, some clove and spice. Lively carbonation, medium bodied, low hopped. Caramel, chocolate and a vionous booziness emerges as it warms. Very good. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Pours a cloudy chesnut brown with nice head and great lacing. Aroma is nutty, brown sugar, a bit of raisins. Taste has some light caramel, a bit of banana, brown sugar. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation and a very good drinkability.

Absolutely amazing. We got our bottle(s) from an importer in Singapore. Pours a thick creamy head. Cloudy chestnut color. Slight bananas on the nose, even more clove. Goes down smooth.

500ml bottle into a tall pilsner glass. Not sure how to figure out the vintage but there is a solid yeast cake on the bottom of the bottle. Opened up with a very slow gush over. A - Pours a faintly hazy dark brown/purple color. Tons of light tan foam forms but settles down quickly. Sticky lacing. Some floating bits of yeast. S - Huge fruit notes of cherries and raisins, brown sugar, caramel, doughy bread, and a strong banana yeast aroma. Really amazing aroma, smells like a rich and decadent dessert. T - Follows the nose with sweet raisins and a bit of tart cherry juice balanced out by a hearty bread and caramel back bone. A bit of that banana yeast thing on the end with a quick fading bitterness. Crazy smooth and way too drinkable given the levels of flavors and the abv. Mouth feel is medium to light bodied and creamy. O - This is a world class beer, I can’t imagine a better weizenbock. Just so rich, sweet, and creamy but somehow its beyond drinkable. Man I love this beer!
