Deep and complex – for big and relaxing moments by the fire.

Dark-ruby colored wheat doppelbock with a creamy fine head. Strong notes of ripe bananas, raisins and plums meet liquorice and roasty aromes. Full-bodied and warming, with a well-balanced and smooth finish. The ideal companion for hearty roast meat, venison and also fruity chocolate desserts, “Kaiserschmarrn” (pancakes), “Elisenlebkuchen” (christmas cookies) or blue cheese.

Cheers!

Bottle 0.5l. Hazy brownish-amber with medium brownish creamy head. Sweetish malty aroma, banana, yeasty, spicy, cherry, a bit sweaty. Sweet banana flavor, light hoppy bitterness, yeasty, herbs, medium sourness, notes of cherry, complete and balanced. Medium carbonation. Bitter-sour aftertaste.

Bottle, shared with Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: clouded brown beer, small stable off white head. NOSE: smoked, grains. TASTE: smoked, ham, oké, but not my style. Like the little sourness. You can taste that this beer is great, but it’s not really my type of beer...

Full-bodied fragrance with notes of banana and yeast. The flavor is also dominated also by some banana but with malt tones. A very well made weizendoppelbock.

Bottle. Well carbonated murky brown body with a large off white head. Nose is oak, wheat, banana and brown malt. Strong clove note. Blue cheese. Mouthwash, alcohol. Sour cherries. Sweet with a tangy bitter finish. Rather nice. Drinkable for its strength.

Draft at Madrones in Frederick, MD. Served in a tulip glass, dirty brown color with off-white head. Aroma of fruit (banana, apple, some berries), bread, caramel and kind of a lactose note. Taste adds notes of clove, yeast, brown sugar and vanilla. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation, soft with fruity/sour’ish finish. Excellent weizenbock, lots of malt/yeast flavors.

50cl bottle from Wegman’s, McKinley Rd, Buffalo, NY. An opaque chestnut pour with a fast fading cream head; aroma of roasted malts and bananas; smooth with a strong plumy fruit taste, mingling with dry licorice; and a satisfying malty finish with a trace of warming spice. Excellent.
