Color rubino scuro sl naso non entusiasma con note fruttate e maltatate. E’ in bocca che esce fuori una complessitá ed un equilibrio che riempiono il palato ed entusiasmano. Pane, caramello, liquirizia, prugna, vaniglia ecc...Assolutamente imperdibile!

Drink cool (10-12°C) Eye: beautiful reddish-brown, hazy/dull with a nice big white to beige head that dissipates not too quickly. little carbonation. make sure you get out the yeast from the bottom. Nose: Sweet yeast, (dryed) fruits such as raisins, cherries and prunes. Mouth: wheat, bread, dryed fruits, banana in an oily or butterlike body. Palate: sweet finish. yeast/wheat, banana and fruits remain. Overall: very nice beer. i’ll definitely have this one again

Drak golden matte and hazy cloudy color. Considerable tan head. Rich arome, quite malt and caramel with lots of alcohol nuances. Medium sweet taste. Medium body, quite sticky texture, lively carbonisation and alcohol finish according to the rather high alcohol amount. Overall a good one!

Transfer from BA review on 10-11-12- Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass Appearance – The beer was served as a hazy medium brown color with a thin off white head. The head had a moderate persistence fading to leave a nice level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a brown bread smell with tons of darker fruit notes. For the fruit, raisin, plum, and a lighter cherry flavor are all there. With these aromas is a good hint of booze and a light amount of yeast and banana. Taste – The taste begins heaviest of the darker fruit flavors of raisin and plum with a more subdued brown bread taste mixed within. As the taste advances some light banana flavors as well as a wheat and yeasty flavor coming to the tongue. Toward the end, a pleasant warming alcohol flavor comes to the tongue, leaving a nice sweet warming taste to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thicker and fuller side with a lighter carbonation level. The overall mouthfeel very nicely compliments all the dark fruit and yeasty and light boozy flavors very well. Overall – This is one tasty and very drinkable brew. It is renowned for a reason. Very well done. Tons of great flavor and an overall joy to drink.

A big toasty roasty beer that doesn’t drink as heavy as it tastes. Well balanced and malty - the alcohol content doesn’t impede its complexity. A hint of spice plays ball with the yeastiness.

Cloudy brown with a nice beige head, which sticks to the glass. Rich aromas of dried fruits, apple, roasted malt and a hint of yeast. Taste starts sour, decent bitter with a light sweetness. Thick texture, with a proper carbonation.

Smoked/baked fruit, particularly apples and bananas, which settles into an aftertaste of cheese--brie?--and, in the back of the mouth, oceansmell, or perhaps saltwater taffy or chicken noodle soup (with, perhaps, a tiny bit of coffee with milk), along with a sort of woodsy taste and breakfast-cereal feel. It has an aroma I can’t quite put my finger on, but which reminded me very strongly of something. Old furniture or books? Caramel? No idea. The beer was poured into a Weizen glass from a bottle brought over from Munich. Just off the top of my head, I might pair it with spaghetti and meatballs, venison, pork, caramel apples, or perhaps turkey, but all of those are just a guess. I would also pair it with a hard day of lumberjacking or a state fair. It would also go well with the "toot sweet" scene, along with others, from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I haven’t seen it in awhile, but The Glass Bottom Boat would maybe do in a pinch. Would do well drunk in a (Scandanavian) library, although almost everything is better with libraries.
