Deep and complex – for big and relaxing moments by the fire.

Dark-ruby colored wheat doppelbock with a creamy fine head. Strong notes of ripe bananas, raisins and plums meet liquorice and roasty aromes. Full-bodied and warming, with a well-balanced and smooth finish. The ideal companion for hearty roast meat, venison and also fruity chocolate desserts, “Kaiserschmarrn” (pancakes), “Elisenlebkuchen” (christmas cookies) or blue cheese.

500ml bottle poured into a large wheat glass. Pours a shade lighter than most colas with a live two finger head and no lacing. Aroma and taste are banana, brown sugar, spices, and roasted malts. Finish is clean and drying due to the carbonation. Surprisingly, no alcohol burn even though it’s 8% abv.

Copenhagen 29/7 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. A lot going on the label with a founder surrounded by gold medals, the brewery and something that looks like a lump of god hemorrhaging blood. Pours hazy dark reddish brown with white head. Settles as patchy thin layer of foam. Intense aroma of banana, oak barrel and alcohol. Hints of citrus. Strong carbonation and thick creamy palate. Taste is medium sweet followed by light bitterness. A little bit of dark alcohol in the aftertaste - without being boozy. Very nice, balanced and pretty muscular wheat beer.

Pours a deep dark colour, with amber reflections. Creamy capuccino head. Aroma is bananasplit and rum. Taste is banana liquer and candy apple. Reminds me of an old favorite Grimbergen. Really nice!

Bottle at home picked up from Bottledog KingsX. I’m sure I’ve had this before, but thought i’d hit this one to try to get through the most rated beers on the site. A mostly clear reddy amber brown coloured pour with a lasting beige frothy head. Aroma is nice dried fruits, fruit cake, banana bread, yeast esters, mineral. Flavour is composed of nutty malts, toffee, spicy dried fruits, woody tannin, fruit cake, banana esters. Some sweet brown breads. Palate is semi sweet, rounded frothy spritzy carbonation. Good stuff.

Good balance . Good taste . Good body. this is a perfect weizenbock of Schneider. But I think It's a little bit more sweet. However overall this beer is very good.

Dark brown to red colour, some carbonation. Aromas of banana, malt, bread, caramel and some licorice. Very smooth taste, rich full body, very strong. Long finish. Excellent beer, certainly one of the best I ever had.

From tap in munich. Pours dark brown. Aroma of banana, raisin, plum and bread. Some light maltiness with a little sweetness. Went very well with the roast pork I was eating.

Dark brown colour with reddish hints, probably not too hazy, some carbonation visible. Big (actually not so much for the style) fluffy white head, surpisingly scarse retention and lacing. Aroma of ripe banana drowned in dough, with some dark fruit hints in the background. Taste follows the aroma with maybe a slight hint of caramel. Overall clearly on the sweet side but not overly so. Leaves a pleasant sweet aftertaste, alcohol is very well hidden. Medium to full body with average crispness, nicely creamy and still quite lively. Not super complex, but well done and highly enjoyable

Cola-like brown color, medium light tan head. Fruity aroma, dark fruits, toasty malt, bread. Medium body, moderately carbonated, no alcohol. Moderately sweet flavor, malt, raisins, off-dry finish. Quite lovely.

Bottle. Lovely deep ruddy brown colour with a white foam. Lovely fruity pear aromas, sweet and not bitter dark malts, warming booze. Complex, fruity, very soft mouthfeel. Great balance. A classic.
