Dark-ruby colored wheat doppelbock with a creamy fine head. Strong notes of ripe bananas, raisins and plums meet liquorice and roasty aromes. Full-bodied and warming, with a well-balanced and smooth finish. The ideal companion for hearty roast meat, venison and also fruity chocolate desserts, “Kaiserschmarrn” (pancakes), “Elisenlebkuchen” (christmas cookies) or blue cheese.

Smaak is medium zoet, zeer licht zuur, heel weinig bitter. Erg lekker!

Pours a deep amber colour, with reddish reflection to the light. Two fingers creamy head that holds all the while, and a creamy lace all around the glass. Aroma of banana, chocolate, cloves, rainsins, rum. Medium body, palate is dense and thick. Taste of chocolate, bananas, clove, vanilla, rum. If anybody told me it’s aged in oak, I’d believe it. Great.

Pours a dark brown color with half a glass worth of off white head that seems to never go away. It smells of banana, yeast, clove, and malt. Very good nose. The taste follows the nose with a bit more sweetness. You get caramel, banana, some fruit, and a hint of clove. The feel is medium with good carbonation but something making it very smooth. This is a world class beer!

Bottle. Shaker. Brown, medium hazy with medium, very light brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is quite intense - bananas, raisins, some dried fruits, hints of nuts. Very nice semi-sweet to sweet taste in the end slighlty bitter. Medium body, oily/creamy texture, soft carbonation finish is sweet and lightly boozy. In general very good and refreshing beer, pretty well balance with all the goods that waizen should have.

Pours a murky reddish brown with a big tan head. Aromas and flavours of clove, banana, dried fruit, some spice, smooth and rich. Lovely.

Dark brown beer with a thick beige head. Aroma is lovely, bananas, sweet malts, yeast. Taste is sweet, yeasty. Bananas and dried fruits. Alcohol is present but not overwhelmingly so. Aftertaste is little bitter. This is no question the best weizendoppelbock I’ve tasted so far.

Bottle @ Whole Foods. Sorry but this was not my cup of tea. Looks good. Even smells good. But the taste was like an astringent fruity vinegary wine or something. I couldn’t even drink all of it. Hard to believe i would say this about a Bavarian Bock but this was Awful stuff! Cannot recommend to anyone.

Bem encorpada. Malte bem presente, assim como o caramelo. Por ser uma doppelbock é bem alcoólica. Ótima cerveja, mas não vale 100 pontos.

0.5L bottle. Looks fantastic in the glass, cloudy dark chocolate brown colour with a huge off-white smooth creamy head with good retention. Aroma of banana, yeast, cloves/spices, dark malt. Taste is wheaty, yeasty, banana and dark fruit, spicy, floral, with a little sharp hop bite in the finish. Lovely smooth mouthfeel, full bodied, average carbonation, alcohol fairly well hidden given the ABV. Fantastic beer, instant favourite.

Dark brown beber, with a beige head, some nice caramel and sweet banana notes are perceived at nose. When is tasted it has a medium body and some nice roast malt flavours are felt, the aftertaste is bitter sweet but really well balanced.
