Dark-ruby colored wheat doppelbock with a creamy fine head. Strong notes of ripe bananas, raisins and plums meet liquorice and roasty aromes. Full-bodied and warming, with a well-balanced and smooth finish. The ideal companion for hearty roast meat, venison and also fruity chocolate desserts, “Kaiserschmarrn” (pancakes), “Elisenlebkuchen” (christmas cookies) or blue cheese.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 10C). Bottle 50 cl - Batch 1821010715. AROMA: rich and complex with balanced maillard notes (toasted bread crust) and esters (banana and dried plums). no hop aromas. APPEARANCE: dark-brown color and hazy. large tanned head with good retention. TASTE: like aroma with balanced and significative maillard notes (toasted bread crust) and esters (banana and dried plums). low bitterness with a semi-dry and bread crust finish. PALATE: medium-full body with moderate carbonation. slight alcohol warming. OVERALL: an oustanding weizen bock from an outstanding brewery.

Excellente

Opaque ruby, purple, and brown hue with a minimally sized white head. Absolutely remarkable aroma with notes of plum, raisin, caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, and dried berries. Incredibly complex gustation as well featuring biscuit, caramel, plum, raisin, banana, caramel, yeast, brown sugar, and toast with a creamy and lingering finish. Truly amazing.
