Ungstrup (10939), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 2, 2003 The aroma is a sweet wheat aroma with good malt notes. The color is an unclear dark brown and it has the best head I've ever seen in the fantastic beutiful glass. The flavor is sweet, strong, with a powerful wheat note, and lesser alcohol notes. It starts out as a light beer - even though its so strong, but the palate and alcohol stregth hits You in the end. The best wheat beer I've ever had. omhper (10145), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 30, 2002 Gold brown colour. Pours thick. Big aroma of toffee and banana. Full bodied, rather sweet. Papsoe (9951), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 31, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Dark brown and hazy with a gigantic head. Three malts with 60% being wheat. Dry slightly sweetish with a very potent body. Nice indeed. 011199 Oakes (6808), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jun 25, 2000 Updated: Feb 22, 2003Dark reddish-brown, hazy, with big frothy head. Luscious dark fruit aroma - banana, apple crumble, sweet malts, milk chocolate. Most surprisingly is the hint of burning cedar - I've never picked that phenol out in Aventinus before (but then I haven't evaluated Aventinus in a while either); smooth dark malt palate...dark malts, sweet banana esters, liberal mix of alcohol. Complex, stylish, and daring. A great weizenbock. joergen (6162), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 28, 2004 Hazy brown colour with a white head. Yeasty aroma with notes of wheat and fruit. Very carbonated. Sweet acidic flavour with notes of fruit and chocolate.
