Pours murky brown. Lively with thin head and minimal lacing. Banana, raisen, plum and chocolate on the aroma, lots of alcohol and dark fruit with a touch of liquorice. Chewy body. Lots of yeast character all the way through. Interesting and complex.

Aroma of dark malt, raisins, wheat, banana and gingerbread. Pours opaque dark brown liquid with a medium-sized, soapy white head. Medium sweetness of wheat as well as citrus hops and sweet caramel malt, notes of cherry, almonds, liquorice, dark fruits and plums. Full body with a creamy texture and average carbonation, sweet, fruity finish.

Pours a deep amber colour, with reddish reflection to the light. Two fingers creamy head that holds all the while, and a creamy lace all around the glass. Aroma of banana, chocolate, cloves, rainsins, rum. Medium body, palate is dense and thick. Taste of chocolate, bananas, clove, vanilla, rum. If anybody told me it’s aged in oak, I’d believe it. Great.

Mørk, sød og kraftfuld hvedeøl. Tydelige frugtnoter i smagen. God til mørkt kød eller søde desserter. Kan anbefales. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle (from firma bier as Schneider Weisse Tap 6 Unser Aventinus). Pours dark brown with beige head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, caramel, banana, wheat. Flavor is very sweet, caramel, roast, fruits, banana, some alcohol. Body is nice and full. Finish is sweet, burnt bitterness and warming alcohol. Overall: great brew, sweet and boozy, just as I like it.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Julio’s Liquors. Aroma is dark fruits with fruity esters of banana and clove. Appearance is lightly hazy orangish red with nice sparkle, finger width fizzy white head with poor retention and no lacing. Taste is moderately sweet banana and clove. Palate is medium to full bodied with creamy texture and lively carbonation (dominates the palate) with clean, dry finish. Overall, nice all around though I wish more of the complexity of the aroma came through in the taste.

Not my first rodeo with the Aventinus. But finally decided to rate it. Deep dark brown with medium tan head. Aroma is wild! I cannot demystify a single note in this jungle of emotions. Taste is well balanced everything. Medium finish, a bit of alcohol warmth though. Overall excellent!
