COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Aventinus! First tasted this last year, but could not forget it. It’s hard to appreciate if one has only tried a single bottle. There is nothing rough or crude about this drink. Not too fruity or sweet. Nothing harsh and full of flavour. Truly delicious. A rare pleasure to drink, especially nowadays. If only I could have it every day. I would never tire of it. Make sure all the sediment goes into the glass, although I’ve forgotten how to turn the bottle correctly.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2008 Pours brown/dark amber mix depending on light with a huge off white head. Aroma almost like a belgian strong but with the German banana. Taste of a lot of banana with a musky caremel flavor that is really cool. Wheat and alchohol also come through. Great mouthfeel. Yah GRIM!!! You picked a good one this time you big stud you!!!

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2006 A misty, dark brown appearance with a hearty mouthfeel. Geat tasting with a prunish/clove flavor. Very palatable.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2008 This is an exceptionally tasty beverage. Hundreds of years of weizen brewing can be tasted in every grateful sip. You find someone who’s never had a weizen bock before give them one of these to try as there is no finer example of this style on the earth.

Schneider Aventinus has to be the most flavourful, and ultimately most satisfying beer i’ve ever had the privilege of tasting. It is very much full bodied, with a chocolatey aroma. The sweet caramel flavour gives way to a clove-like semi-bitter finish. The dark ruby colour and thick long lasting head makes this brew very inticing just to look at, but anyone who has ever tasted it knows, as nice as it is to look at you just can’t wait to get involved in its wonderful flavours!!! ABV: 8.2 OG: 18.5

The king of Wezenbocks. Everytime I am at Ludwigs in down Philly I am always having a couple of these. Great rich taste.
