Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

500 milliliter bottle from Total Wine in Tustin ($3.49). Pours an attractive brownish color with some red-like highlights. Looks a lot like brewed tea in the glass. The thick beige head is lively and disappears rather quickly. Aroma is full of fruit esters (plum, banana), yeast, spices, caramel and sweet wheat tones. A great smelling beer! Basically everything found in the nose is there in the flavor as well -- fruit, yeast, spice, caramel, wheat. Small note of alcohol, but otherwise well hidden. Nicely carbonated -- I had this on draft once at Toronado and marveled at just how vigorous and consistent the bubbles were throughout. My first rating of a weizen bock, and what a great one it was. An amazing weizenbock. Aroma of malts, yeast, dark fruits, banana and spicies. Taste is full and sweet with yeast and malt in front of the others and hints of fruits, sugar and caramel at the background. Full body, long duration finish.

Dark brown irresistible look. Lots of caramel, roasted caramel and fruits. A cooked malty ’banana’ flavour is particularly noticeable. Good body, but not particularly easy to drink. Good beer if you are into ’sweeter’ stuff.

500mL bottle. Aromas of clove and stewed fruit. Pours opaque brown with small but effervescent off-white head. Well-balanced with spicy fruit sweetness matching the soft bitterness and slight sour weissbeer undertones, nice full body, thick and creamy. One of my faves!!!

Bottle with purple label from the local. Pours a hazy dark brown with an active off white head. Thick dark fruits, banana, and spice on the nose. Bold flavor of banana, clove, and dark fruit dominate with a hint of yeast character. Superb.

On tap at the Toro. Aroma is banana, green apple, nutmeg, clove, bubblegum, wheat. Tastes like it smells, only better, cuz it’s more better to drink a beer than sniff it. Top notch in every way. Mos def.
