4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from the Village Bottle Shop. This is a very interesting and worthwhile dopplebock. A lucky find. The aroma has bread, vanilla, syrup and fruit- almost similar in some ways to many Belgian ales, but thicker. Pours dark and opaque with a lot of head that dissipates shortly with little lacing. The flavor is rich, full and satisfying with strong notes of spice, fruit, grain and even chocolate. The finish is long and complex, ending with some sweet fruit and bitterness. The high alcohol is not too noticeable, but warms and bolsters the beverage nicely. This one is definitely worth checking out if it is available. Will probably get this one again.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle into an English pint. Pours a really murky brown with some lighter reddish tinges around the edges near the glass. Light, quickly dissipating head. Nose of rich roasty maltiness, dried fruits and a bit of banana. Medium sweetness with flavour of plums and a hint of something sour on the back end. Full bodied and pleasant on this snowy evening.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours brown and leaves the same colored body with some red/amber-ish tints around the sides of the weizen glass; just a little bit of lacing; the smell has a large amount of roasted dark wheat with a good amount of dark fruits coming through in a sweet and somewhat "banana" estery sort of way; the flavor is mainly sweet and yeasty with that roasted wheatiness coming back to embolden a lengthy sort of sweetened yet sticky aftertaste and a dry sweet finish, its not as easy on the palate as probably some would like, but hey an 8.2% weizenbock, what does one expect?.... overall, I say this is a great weizenbock that should set the standard for the style, get this before you try any other just so that you know what to expect with this style

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Have had this one a few times in the U.S., but bought this bottle in Germany. Now for the review. Wow - this beer is something special. Aroma is extremely rich - malt - almost meaty to a point (luckily a good one). Pretty sticky but not too much, and the complexity and strength justify it. Celebrator might have a contender. This is great. [Needs another review for top rating.]

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle poured a murky brown hue w/ huge long lasting rocky tan head. Big fruity aroma. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a moderate sour finish. Tastes are apricot, raisin, peach, and a light banana and clove yeast. Medium to full bodied, lively carbonation, and creamy mouthfeel.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smaak is medium zoet, zeer licht zuur, heel weinig bitter. Erg lekker!

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Robe ambree sombre, belle carbo. petit col persistant.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This one is always easy to find at "Trinkgut" liquerstore chain across Germany. My favourite one to represent wheat and bock beer combination. Thick aroma and full body tangles into this one for sure!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Interpretazione molto particolare e apprezzabile di una weizen scuora ad alto grado. Gusto intenso di banana tipico, arricchito dalle note tostate. Resta uno dei prodotti più pregiati di questo ottimo birrificio tedesco.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from a local supermarket.
Pours rustic-brown, with a mighty lasting wheat-head. Strong carbonation.
Aroma: banana peels, ripe bananas, clove and some white honey. A delight!
Taste: Bananas (lots of them!), sweet sponge-cake and wheat сream porridge . Finish brings some warm alcohol notes and dark fruits (sweet grapes?). Lovely!
Overall: And excellent beer. The one to be rediscovered on a regular basis!
