MoritzF (3648), Ruhrpott, Germany May 10, 2008 (50cl swing top bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a medium-sized, light-beige frothy head. Sweet, melanoidinic roast-malty, Bockbier-like aroma with caramel, subtle notes of dried fruits and shy hops in the back. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toast-malty, slightly crusty taste with cacao and caramel; dry and slightly bitter and toasty finish with herbal hoppy spice and notes of cacao/chocolate in the aftertaste. Tastes a bit like a diluted Bock; not bad (08.05.08).
