Tap at Němý Medvěd, Mělník, CZ. Hazy deep gold to amber body, high creamy white head. Aroma of yeast, wheet, spicy notes, without banana. Taste is sourish with slightly bitter finish. Yeasts, apples, wheet, spices. Medium body and carbonation.
Well balanced smooth weizen.

Draught at Němý medvěd, Mělník. Very hazy, light amber colored. AROMA- wheaty and yeasty. FLAVOR- lightly sour, dry, refreshing, well balanced weissbier. Medium bodied.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Hazy dark golden with creamy white head. Spicy yeast, dough, quite hoppy, caramel, flowers, dried citrus peel, orange. Light sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied with creamy feel. Nice stuff, surprisingly hoppy.

Bottle shared at home. Clear golden, white head. Sweet, barley, banana, chalky, toasty, bitter. Medium sweet, light bitter. Full heavy body, fat and chalky, light carbonation.

Bottle from Bradleys. Amber colour with an initially frothy head. Usual weizen aroma with a punch of citrus behind it. Some banana sweetness with a nice dry and bitter hoppy finish.

0,5l Flasche. Hellbraunes Bier mit relativ kleiner Schaumkrone. Grasiges frisches Aroma, das typische Bananenaroma gerät in den Hintergrund. Auch im Geschmack eher floral frisch, Hopfenbetont. Angenehm anders..

Orange brown cloudy, almost muddy color with solid white foam head. Wheat and light hop flavors in the nose. The taste is super calm and milky with fresh grass hop notes in nice balance with the wheat character of the beer. Calm and light alcoholic aftertaste.

Hazy honey-like colour. Tall rocky head. Good retention. Very spicy nose with floral notes. Banana only in background. Honey. Nice smell. Light to medium body. Oily texture. Honey, clove, floral & spicy hops in taste. Phenols also present. Light to medium hoppy bitterness. Very smooth. It’s not a typical Hefe. It’s much better than a typical Hefe. Perfect.

500 ml bottle as “Schneider Weisse Tap 4 Mein Grünes” bought at EG Plus Ltd’s booth during the 13th Hong Kong Food Festival 2015 in HKCEC, Wan Chai.

Looks: Cloudy hazy golden honey colour with a ring of dirt-like yeast sediments; One finger head with white foam which lasted for 2 minutes; Very good sticky lacing and fizzy small carbonation.

Aroma: Very fragment malt, with strong banana, strong vanilla, light pineapples, strong honey, fairly strong wheaty tartness, caramel, light toffee, sugar, strong cloves, spices, bread, strong yeast, light lemon and strong grass.

Taste: Mid to light sweet strong malt, with caramel, floral, strong wheaty tartness, strong molasses, strong phenolic, cloves, strong spices, strong yeast, lemon, strong bitter hops and very sharp grass.

Body: Close to medium body. Thick and smooth palate.

Mouth Feel: Strong maltyness in a rich and smooth background. Strong wheat and tartness. Fruity ester is close to minimal, but malty caramel and floral hops taste abound. Lots of nice sweetness and clovey spices. Not as yesty as most Hefeweiss, but good lemon to round. Very nice!

Hoppiness: Light floral, strong honey, spices, lemon and grass in nose. Much the same but with much stronger grass in taste. Bitterness is strong for a lasting, high astringent bitter sweet finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Rich and strong bitter to mouth.

Comments: After Tap 1’s disappointment, this organic Tap 4 really kickass: rich smooth body, strong maltyness, big sweetness and strong Cascade hoppiness in floral and bitter grass. Only a couple steps from being a nice Weizenbock, we need strong Hefeweiss like this one. Lovely!
