Bottle to tulip Ginger ale, fruity esters, raisin bread, wheat, light pepper and yeast. Pours a nice golden colour with a 2 cm white frothy, yet creamy, bright white head. There’s a good amount of effervescence and a smattering of lacing. Taste is sour and wheaty, with apple and a peppery, bitter aftertaste.

Maker: Weissbierbrauerei G. Schneider & Sohn, Kelheim, Germany *** Beer: Schneider Weisse TAP Mein Grünes (aka: Schneiders Wiesen Edel-Weisse) (bottled, unfiltered, 500ml) *** Style: Hefeweizen (German cloudy wheat) *** ALC.VOL.: 6.2% *** "Exclusively brewed in reminiscence of Georg Schneiders privilege of being part of the world famous Munich Octoberfest until 1942 when his renowned "Weisse Brauhaus im Tal, Munich" was destroyed. Enjoy and celebrate! " [brewery note] *** Colour: Bright hazy orange; big, fluffy white head. *** Nose: Yeast, some citrus, some banana,m some clove. *** Texture: Medium body, not watery. Very moderate carbonation. *** Taste: Surprisingly dry for a Hefe, with a little banana, some citrus, and a lot of hops. Yeast. Towards the middle it gets more bitter(!), with floral hops (clove), the expected yeast notes, some bubblegum. Moderately bitter, yeasty finish with a hint of bananas and clove. After taste is clove. *** Impressions: Much hoppier than most Bavarian cloudy wheat beers, more bitter than any I have encounted, leaning towards clove notes a lot. Definitly different, but not a cloudy wheat I would drink every day.

Bière de blé limpide, à peine particulée, robe jaune limpide, mousse blanc cassé. Censée être plus houblonnée qu’une Weiss classique. Pas dans ma période weiss mais elle ne me semble pas être à la mesure de ce qu’elle promettait.
