Very unfiltered appearance with a puffy classic schneider head. Aroma is medium hoppy, full of cascade hops. Also in the nose is the traditional banana & clove esters from the belgian hefe yeast. These are not overpowering as in schneider classic. Flavor is moderately hoppy and flavorful. Finishes sweet and spicy. Very unique but terrific.

Strange, light hefe. All of the typical flavors of a weisse. I prefer Schneider's Aventinus to this one though, since it's heavier on the bready wheat and clove flavors. More alcohol as well (though it's a weizen bock).

Edel-weisse, edel weisse, bring back my bonny to, me to me. The song is remarkably similar to the beer. Pretty crappy in other words. To me, this lacks most things that a good beer should have. The carbonation meant that it lost head very quickly, the body is thin and there is no real discernible character to this beer. Perhaps G.Schnieder should fire Sohn and get his son in to help.

I'd need to do a few more head-to-head tests to fully comprehend the differences between this and the regular weizen. Pretty damn good.

a surprise from the start with a fresh, grassy pils aroma. tastes of vanilla custard, with only faint traces of wheat. very pale and strangely prickly. unique

(bottle conditioned) Bready, sweet wheat aroma with hint of apple. Cloudy, approriate yeasty pour with beautiful proud head that disappeared quickly despite proper pour. Thinnish medium body with wheat fullness & nice light esters but quickly fading flavor. Nice little tart apple hint at the end. Lowish caronation keeps a soft feel. I prefered this to their standard hefe-weizen. Recommended.

I dunno if I like it as much as the regular stuff. It's bloody nice though and quite bread and buttery. You can't go wrong.

A refreshing beer for a hot summer day. This brew pours dark golden and quite cloudy. There is a medium large head that completely dissipates with no lacing. The beer smells sweet like grapes? Has a nice sweet flavor with a tiny acid kick in the finish. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

Usually hazy gold under a medium sized bright white head. Very pleasant bready fruity and floral hops aroma. Average to light bodied for the style. Zingy sharpish hoppy start. Softer weaker maybe harsher middle and finish. Still plenty of flavour but it lacks the real smoothness and finish of say the Maisels or the Weihenstephaner.

50 cL bottle, hefe glass. Hazy, medium straw colored body has swirls of yeast in it and there's a few large particles floating around. Lightest colored Schneider I've had so far. Large head due to swirling to get all the yeast out, but it's already gone as I write this. Toasted light bread and wheaty malts. Light flowery hops. Doughy yeast. I smell some banana esters, but the fruit overtones smell most like apples to me. Fairly sweet throughout with a step up in acidity and bitterness at the end. Bitterness at the beggining has an interesting sour apple quality to it. Finish feels a little unclean, but that's probably due to the acidity and how smooth this beer starts out. Medium body has a watery texture and soft carbonation. There's really a lot of interesting light fruit flavors present in this beer. Looking at the other ratings, I'm obviously crazy for detecting this fruitiness; but I already knew that. I think this is better than their regular hefeweizen and it's the second best wheat I've had to date.
