The beer poured out of the bottle hazy and golden brown with a lot of sedimentation ... little black flecks throughout and even huge chunks toward the end. It smells like lime and brown sugar, with some hints of spice. The taste is sweet with tepid citrus notes, sort of like a beer mixed with flat diet sprite. The ABV (which is rather high for a Weisse beer) comes through in the finish, so you can taste the alcohol a little bit. Considering how much I enjoy some of Schneider’s other brews, I’m really surprised how awful this one is. I’m not altogether certain what style the Edel-Weisse is meant to emulate. Perhaps I got a bad bottle?

Deep gold, little white fuzz. Nose is yeast and soft fruit. Little sweet. Middle is bananas, light citrus, creamy wheat. Finish is soft grain.

Pours a hazy, fizzy gold with big frothy head. Aroma is of citrus, spice, wheat, dank, and gum. Tastes of gum, banana, coriander, citrus, peaches, and honey. Has a chewy medium body with lively carbonation.

From a 500ml bottle on 23/4/2016. Pours a cloudy dark golden with a smallish uneven head. The nose features some clove, spice and some slight basement notes. Flavour wise, it’s quite bold for a hefe - sweet banana, zesty lemon, and a good dash of spice make for a lovely balanced affair. More bitter than typical for the style, but this just adds to the experience. Full bodied, with slightly above average carbonation. A fantastic hefe. Everything I’ve tried from these guys so far has been excellent.

Whenever I like the style of this beer! With incredible quality, I think this beer is the best of this style. Balanced with just the right touch of complexity, a pleasure. Color, taste in the mouth, flavors ... what a great beer!

the yeast is reallly in front in this beer. Very light spruce aroma. raisin vert. Cloudy with nice white head. Light in sweetness, bitterness an sour. Good balance. Oily with average carbonation and got a long finish. A standard in the genre.

Good weissbier. Maybe too light of a body. Hops aren’t strong and the maltyness isn’t a big deal. Good, but not the best in the genre.

Really good weizen, all tough it should definitely being drunk cold, as the tastes get’s very unbalanced when drunken too warm, too sweet and hangover taste.
