Bottled. Deep charneol colour with poor head. I’m disappointed with both aroma and flavour. Their flagship, Aventinus, is so fantastic with rich complex aromas and phenols, but this doesn’t even come close in flavour profile. Dull malt profile, weak esters and papery mouthfeel. I can hardly sense the phenols here. A poor hefeweizen.

(Schneider Georg Schneiders Wiesen Edel-Weisse) As Schneider Weisse Tap 4 Mein Grünes, 200ml teku glass from the tap, at tap takeover, Cafe Caspar, Arnhem. Very hazy body, dark orange in colour, with a tall thick off-white head, with great retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass. Aroma of clove, plenty of other spices, ripe pears. Nice taste with clove, other spices, very yeasty though. A numbing feeling on the palate, good carbonation, medium body. Good.

Relatively clear for the style. Only slightly hazy. Aroma is banana, cloves and perfume. Slightly flowery taste. Reminiscent of a hefeweizen but has a nice hoppy bite on the end

At Schneider tap take-over with Douberd. Found this the best Schneider that evening, overall. Lasting creamy foam head, strong grass aroma and taste. Loved it. (Velp 201502)

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Barwa: złota, może delikatnie w kierunku ciemnozłote, zmętnione. Piana: biała, obfita, drobno i średniopęcherzykowa, trwała. Zapach: intensywny banan i goździk. Smak: bardzo orzeźwiające, głównie wyczuwalne nuty goździka, bardzo przyjemna goryczka o przyprawowym charakterze. Wysycenie: jak na styl przystało wysokie.

Bottle. Pours murky orange with thin white head. Wheat beer aroma. This is probably a solid wheat beer choice but it's not my style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

No surprise that another Schneider weisse beer is delish, but this is really unique. Lacks the typical banana and clove heavy aroma and taste. Much more dry and hoppy. Not bitter hops but dry and crispy. Really enjoyable!

#4400. 500 ml. bottle @ home from Dranken Geers. Bottled on 27/09/2014. Clear golden, solid egg-white head, one finger big. Looks like something out of a beer commercial. Nose is fluffy banana &air refresher lemon, light ginger (interesting), very fruity DE yeast. Taste of DE yeast, banana, faintly floral, air refresher lemon, ginger, faint lemon hops, faintest of candy sweetness that invites you to drink more. There is something utterly drinkable about this one. Light wheat body. I just could drink this forever. Quite a big bit better than the Original for me. This isn’t phenomenal or anything but this is the definition of a delicious & infinitely quaffable beer.
