Schneider Weisse Leicht

Draught at Schneider Weisses Brauhaus, Munich.
Hazy apricot coloured, medium sized white head, some weak banana and canned corn in the nose. Weak aroma of banana and cloves with such unexpected watery palate. Some hops in the finish, but away too thin.

Bottle: Cloudy, firm beaten-egg-white like foam, orangey coloured; solid aroma of bananas and cloves with a sourish-wheaty background; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, light bodied without being watery; almost lingering bananaey-clovey finish with sourish-wheaty notes in the afzertaste. Quite tasty for a beer of 3.3%...........

Biggish offwhite head. Hazy orange body. Neutral yeasty aroma with fruity notes. Dry wheaty yeasty taste with acidic citric notes and some ash. Some background fruitiness and spiciness. Rather neutral, and a bit sharpish. All right, but not very good. (0.5l bottle in some trattoria, München.)

(bottle) Cloudy, orange colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Yeasty, slightly sweet wheat-malty aroma with a moderate banana-fruity touch and distinctive hoppy notes in the background. Light-sweet and sour flavour, light bodied with a lively carbonation. Slim malty, yeasty and slightly wheaty taste with a mineralic mouthfeel and a moderate fruitiness; slim and wheaty, slightly fruity finish with light hoppy and restrained clovy notes. Pretty refreshing light Hefeweizen.
