pours thick w/ a thudathuda. very dark for a hefe, looks like a bock. smells of banana bread. tastes of banana (not very strong though, Ayinger is much stronger in this respect) & $1 french bread. very watery for a hefe, make sure to swirl the bottom to make sure you get all the yeast. decent, but not the best hefe iíve had.

Extremely cloudy amber Hefeweizen. With an apperance like this I knew this was going to be good. Strong fruit wheat nose. Tart apple and banana with a fine yeast quality. I know its just a 50th rating, but at least I picked out a good one for it. Prost!

3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Quite dark golden unclear, with beautiful white head that lasts trough; Huge nose that explodes in your face: mostly overripe banana, but also fresh banana, clove and very nice sweet lilies; Huge carbonation in a body that is a little watery with some acidity; The finish is quite short with some acidity and citrus like bitterness, again banana. Nose and body+finish doesnít fit all that well together.

Pours amber brown with a quickly disappearing head. Nice and sweet. Fruity and wheaty at the same time. A light tasty beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dirty orange-brown, big head that collapses rapidly. Aromas of banana, bubblegum, vanilla. Big wheaty palate that is rich in banana and a little citrus and sweet spice with a nice tart finish. Fantastic!

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
500 ml bottle. Poured a cloudy, deep amber(?!) into a footed pilsner glass with a 3-finger rapidly diminishing foamy white head. Nose is DMS and banana, quite sweet. A bit too much in the way of DMS. Flavor is immediate, offensive DMS. Blech. The next element to the flavor is a totally unwelcome sourness. Really terrible flavor. The finish is much better, though, with banana and spices. Watery/lively mouthfeel, would be pretty refreshing but for that awful sour note in the flavor. I really dislike this beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy, amber body with thick, off-white head that quickly fades. The aroma is banana, clove and caramel. The flavor is wheat, banana bread and cloves. The mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a drying finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The first amber hefe Iíve seen. Pours clear amber with very little head. Aroma is strongly bananas, with some spice. The taste is one of the smoothest Iíve had. Sweet and light up front, then more of the wheat comes out in the end. Crisp finish. A really good beer.

Muddy brown. Very malty aroma with a hint of fruit. Minimal carbonation. Spicy with the malt dominating mouthfeel. A great showcase of wheat malt and smooth down the hatch. Even a dash of hops to finish.
