3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Head drops off quickly, aroma of biscuits and grass. Wonderful light, refreshing with a nice bite. Not as fruity as I would like, but a nice beer.

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Deep reddish-brown pour with a short, white head. Aroma is bready and malty with a tart nose at the end. The taste is quite light but hoppy... perhaps a bit of rye here? The finish is full... that surprises me after the initial light taste. Great tangy bite at the back of the mouth. Overall, I like Wheats a little fuller than this, but the long finish and whiskey-like color make it interesting.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2004 ReRate: What the hell was wrong with me? I had this Beer rated as a 3.5, I must have been a mongoloid? Anyway, this is a Great Beer, The best Heff I have had! Large notes of bananas, clove, and citrus oils: particularly tangerine. The palate is immensely creamy and inviting. Terrific Stuff!
I have been drinking all of these German wheat beers lately and all of the flavors and aromas are beginning to run together in my mind. I have a fantastic authentic German deli 100 feet from my office. The owner drinks beer and runs the register all day as his wife prepares the food. The Schneider Weisse Original is a completely genuine German wheat beer. This beer has an amber-golden color, gigantic foamy head, an aroma of wheat and malt, and smooth finish. You aren’t living until you have the Original.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Crazy brown colour for a wheat beer. Soft white head which dies down very quickly. Tons of floaties, but that could be a result of where I bought it from. Classic wheat smell reminiscent of fruit and yeast. A very full bodied taste with a large flavour with not too much 'wheatie' characteristics. A wierd beer which is pretty drinkable, but definately not my favourite style. A bitter aftertaste but not too pungent or tasty. Worth trying, but don't be too upset when its not what you are expecting.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Big head which does not last long. Great big huge carbonation throughout. Looked like someone turned on the bubble machine and left it on. Hazy amber color. Aroma of yeast and wheat. Flavor is pretty smooth with hints of unripened bananas mixed in with the traditional wheat. Finish is very, very dry. Almost to the point where your tongue feels sticky. A decent wheat beer that hits all of the landmarks for a traditional wheat beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy golden wheat beer with huge white head that fades to small lacing. I must pour faster than uglyradio, and I think I am supposed to pour for a big head on a wheat beer! Taste of cloves, banana, and yeast, with a long sour bitter finish. Good warm weather beer. In a side by side comparison with the Weihenstephaner Hefe the long bitter finish and the mouth filling clovey spiciness of the Schneider comes through as a bigger, more balanced, crisper beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It has a nice, clear (that is, until I dumped the yeast in) amber color with a small, off-white head that lingers. The aroma is estery with hints of yeast and banana. The flavor is mildly yeasty and fruity, with some earth notes and a bit of banana flavored bubblegum. A good German Hefe-Weizen.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured an amber hue with a medium sized rocky head. A flowery aroma with the typical banana notes and some oak character. A smooth and carbonated palate which is a litttle thinner than what I had anticipated. A fruity flavor with a citrus bitterness, oak and a earthiness. Some brets emerged as it warmed. Overall good German Wheat.
