With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

Hazy amber with a small white head. The aroma has something nutty and has hints of dry caramel. It has a nice wheaty texture with a good dosis of flower-pollen aroma’s. The taste is dry, nutty and has a smooth mild mouthfeel. This beer has a clean and refreshing taste with hints of peache-pit, nuts, cereals and some dry honey accents.

On tap at Berlin-Tegel Flughafen. Cloudy orangey copper with a big creamy off-white head. Strong banana aroma. Sweet with fruity, mainly banana flavours, dryish finish with clove flavours taking over. Rather light-bodied, fizzy. A refreshing beer without too much complexity.

Boutelle de 50 cl. Belle couleur dorée, bon collet. Arome légé de blé un peu sûre. Petit goût de blé et fruit crèmeuse, arrière goût très liquide.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2006 500ml Bottle Pours cloudy amber with a light tan head that was rather thick. Tastes of cloves and some fruits (possibly apple). Quite refreshing with a slightly sour finish to it. I think I will have to try this with a bit of lemon next time to see what thats like.

Bottle. 48F Weizen. Slightly sour and very light aroma. Light tan head that dissipates rapidly, Amber hazy color, with dark specs of floating material. Does’t look like yeats I am not sure what they are but, tastes fine. Slightly sour taste refreshing with a fruity finish, followed by tastes of oak. Holds a larger mouthfeel than I had expected, rather on the big side for a hefe. Over all not bad a bit on the larger and darker side for most hefes, but still easily drinkable especially in the warmer summer months.

Draft at Prost. Big white head of small bubbles, decent lacing. Nice loamy brown body--plenty of grain bill for a hef. Nose is fairly mild, a whiff of sour and maybe some floral, with some husky grain under. The flavor is strong and rich for a hef, with some sourness to balance a nicely considered profile of malts. There’s real spice and earthiness that opens as it warms, but by the bottom of the glass it gets really sour. Not something I’d ever order more than a cool pint at a time, but sourness only goes so far with me. The chewiness is amazing for a hef, as is the subtle complexity of flavor. Refreshing and interesting at the same time--just a great beer.

Light brown color with a slight reddish hue. Lasting small head, fruity, almost had a nuttiness to it. Refreshing.

Has a hazy golden orange appearanace. Taste has medium bitterness and a lightly sour aftertaste. Seemed kind of tarty and fruity. Has a little bit of a "bite"
