With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

17oz - Aroma is yeast, malt, brown sugar, and a little lemon, kind of weak. Color is a yellowish brown producing tons of bubbles, but little head and no lacing. Flavor is brown sugar, yeast and malt with a touch of citrus. Clean palate is refreshing on a hot day. A different hefe, good but not great.

Draft. I reallż donít understand the rave about this one. My friends all love it as well, but this is what I thought: Aroma is extremely honey and rich. Definitely the best part of this beer is the nose. Flavor is something of a disappointment. Itís too citrus and palate is downright disgusting. Way too sweet and sticky.

Had this one on draught in Chicago, Illinois. An outstanding wheat beer, as most are! Deep orange color with a thick head, nose of orange and cloves, taste light and wheaty with citrus and tropical fruit. Finishes light. A great summertime brew.

Imagine, being constrained by the use of four ingredients and two are water and yeast, and still being able to make this beer. Probably the best Iíve ever had. The color is just rich and glowing. The nose is full of banana and cloves that give way to rich baking spices and bananas foster. Thank you to the brewery for refermenting in the bottle. Living beer is always a plus and aside from the remarkable freshness this beer also posseses a wonderful champagne-like carbonation that when poured into the PROPER glass at the PROPER temp. the head floats like a cloud all the way down the flute.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2005 Bottle. Pours a dark amber color, not very cloudy. Nice head, but did not last too long. Seemed to have more carbonation than other hefes I have tried recently. Had more of an apple taste to it with some spice. I enjoyed this one, but a notch below some other hefes I have tried recently. Good beer.

Bottle. For a Hefe this is one of the tops in the catagory. Just pouring this into the glass is worth buying this one. Head is incredible full tight and long lasting white. Taste is decent a little more sour and fruity than a typical Hefe. Excellent Choice.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2006 On Draft at Issac Newtons. Pours orang\brown with a beige head. Aroma of citrus, fruit (bananas), spices perhaps cinnamon. Flavor is sweet, wheat, bananas, citrus, carbonated. Good body, damn good Hefe.

A full blend of many different things making up the aroma: banana, clove, apple, spice and yeast . Is a murky amber brownish tea color with some yellow gleaming through the sides of the glass. Decent head formation but will be broken up quickly. Notice of the spice, yeast and apple with a bubblegum undertone. Love the carbonation and a leaves behind a bitter aftertaste, however, it would of been more enjoyable for me if only it wasnít as spicey in the finish.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2008 Re-Rate for February 29/08- Pours a deep, earthy brown with hues of orange. The head is a frothy beige cap that lasts and laces well. Nice retention. Clove, yeasty esters, earthy, fruity malts and bubblegum all fill the nose. It is sweet, but slightly tart. Very fruity while hinting at clove and yeast with some candy as well. Creamy and effervescent. One of my all time favourites. Original score 3.4.

A good wheat beer. Sharp. Fruity. Crisp lively carbonation. Good appearance, and head properties.
