COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

Stabiler Schaum und Mezzo-Mix Farbe, etwas trüb. Geruch nach Banane, Bubblegum. Am Gaumen Banane, etwas alkoholisch, leicht schwach. Mundgefühl zu wässrig und sehr schmal.

Sadly I drank this one with a stuffy nose as it is quite a nice brew and I probably won't see another one of these soon. A very very good dunkel even with a stuffy nose.

Bottle. Cloudy orange. Very nice banana, clove, wheaty hefe nose. Soft medium bodied. After weihenstephan, this is probably the best retail hefe I’ve come across. Very nice esters, good body. Just real nice.

Served from a bottle into a Schneider Weisse glass at a pub in NYC. I’m not sure if there was something wrong with my bottle, but I was very disappointed by this beer. Both aroma and taste were very subdued, even for a Hefeweizen; the notes characteristic of the style were there, but barely perceptible. Will try again in the future probably, but it will be Weihenstephaner only for this summer at least.

Bottle, 500mL. Home. A hazy brown earthy beer with orange hues at the bottom of my glass. Huge creamy white foam, great persistence. Fruity aroma (lemon, pear), spices (coriander). Medium refreshing bitter, light sweet spicy. Light body, medium texture, fizzy carbonation, dry bitter finish. Overall, great refreshing spicy fruity beer.

Dark in appearance and retains a good head. Taste is complex with some sweetness and some bitterness in the aftertaste. A good beer

500ml bottle ($2.95) from Premier in Halifax. Nice clove and nutmeg aroma. Pours a great looking cloudy amber with frothy head. Has a mild sweet taste. Medium body, with oily texture, lively carbonation. The finish is somewhat abrupt. Overall a great Heffe.
