3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. The colour is hazy amber with a light beige, medium head on top. Fruity and rich aroma with banana, sweet berries, yeast, spices and some wood. The flavour follows up with more spices, lemon and some berry sourness in the background. Slick and smooth mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A rich and tasteful hefeweizen. Delicious.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: SEP 21, 2013 Delicious! Cloudy appearance, not much of an aroma, but smoothe and almost creamy for a wheat beer. A bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from National Brewery Centre, Burton. Hazy amber beer with a lively head that reduces to a thin head. Aroma of cloves and banana. Taste is cloves and other spices, yeast and a little dry bitterness. Quite light on the palate. Ok beer, but I was expecting more from one of my favourite breweries.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Description has it right with the amber-mahogany color. Large foamy off white head. Good looking beer. Strong cloves in the aroma as well as yeast and mild banana. Tastes just like it smells pretty much. Mild sweetness in the flavor. Full body, and easily drinkable. Very smooth, minimal bitterness. Yeast flavor is strong in this one and it lingers on. Good beer. This beer or the Paulaner could be my go to beer for drinkability.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: Brassy color, great head. Aroma: Banana, bread, taffy, yeast, lemon pith, grass, clove, apples. Taste/palate: Crisp, moderate body, bread, esters, pepper, taffy, grain, yeast, apple, spicy clove, bit of alcohol warmth. Dry finish. Impressions: Darker than most hefeweizens, this is a bold brew that manages to be approachable. Definitely a classic, at that.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a bottle at Atlanta’s 2013 German Bierfest.
Hazy medium brown. Smallish but durable off-white head.
Lighter aroma than flavor but both feature some yeast and banana.
Unusual hint of smoke in the taste.
Good if unexceptional mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
nuts, toast, amber, hazy, frothy, medium bitterness, medium body, thick feel, fizzy, bitter. The commercial description is, naturally, right on the nose. It has a little more body than most weisse beers but it’s not too filling. Nice head. Darker color than most weisse beers (more amber than gold). It has a little bit of a punch of bitterness at then end. Just enough to make it stand out from other weisse beers; but nothing like an IPA. All in all a well constructed, balanced beer.
