With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

Bottle from supermarket. Amber brown, cloudy, head vanished almost immediately which seems unusual for a Weizen. Cooked banana aroma with hint of spice, quite restrained though. Highly carbonated. Taste is bread overlayed with bitterness that strengthens towards the end. Fairly dry finish. Carbonation acidity almost dominates over other tastes.

(50 cl bottle from local supermarket poured into a footed pilsener glass from Brřckhouse; BBD: 2015/06/08) Pours a cloudy dark amber with frothy, white head and fizzy carbonation. Aroma is phenolic with notes of grain, dust, clove and nutmeg. Oily texture, medium body and a slightly ascerbic finish. Flavour is relatively harmonic with the dominant impression being the wheaty ascerbic note in the finish. Really not my style.

Bottle thnx to Dennoman Pours unclear , muddy orange . Small white head . Smell is fishy ( typical to me in German beers ) , funky, bitter . Taste is bitter , buttery , flowery . OK ... In the meantime I had German beers I did like, but these kind of beers still remain a mistery to me ( the reason why they are popular, I mean )

Draught at Mother Kelly’s, Bethnal Green on 30 August. Poured a cloudy orange, with a very thin off white head. Aroma of coriander, cloves, banana and bubblegum. Orange sweetness in the flavour, with some bread and mineral notes. Finish was very light, with some soft fruit, peal and bread.

Aromat słodów pszenicznych, warzywa, cytrusy, korzenne, kolendra. Piana obfita, znika natychmiast, nie zdobi szkło. Kolor brudny, brunatny. W smaku alkohol, alkohol, trochę cytrusów i słodów i znów alkohol, następnie kolendra. Piwo jest kwaskowe. Odczucie w ustach - zbyt wysycone, kwaskowość, wodniste. Ogólnie, blee. Nie polecam...

500ml bottle. Pours a rich hazy dark gold. Aroma on this is mainly about the wheat and biscuit malt character, deep and rich malt favours balance nicely with banana, barnyard yeasts and coriander, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, full body, creamy, oily feel, average carbonation. Classic weisse
