COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

It had a dark bronze color like a Dunkelweizen. The body was hazy and had some visible carbonation. It produced a thick billowy head that was cloudy white in color and had good retention and slick lacing. The aroma had a fruity yeasty character that stood out over hints of wheat malt. It is very smooth and creamy on the palate with soft carbonation and a good solid medium body. The flavor has a big solid malty presence with creamy wheat, sweet bready and lightly toasted caramel notes. Flavor notes of fruity yeast, banana and clove are present and well balanced. Its hop flavor is very mild and it finishes fairly crisp and balanced.

Draft at Abbey Burger. Pours opaque tawny brown with a creamy, fizzy beige head. Tastes like banana, roasted malt, caramel, booze. Light body and low carbonation. Roasted, fruity, banana aroma.

Drinking from a 0,5l bottle. A nice coffee caramel, tropical fruits aroma. The unclear, copper beer has a medium off-white head. A smooth taste with caramel and banana. A sour tone. Medium carbonated.

Bottle. Cloudy, wood-coloured. Nice, big head. Aroma is surprisingly weak, distinctively weissbier-like, but not as strong as in other beers of this style. Tase is a bit dull, not as full-bodied as advertised, with just hints of banana-bubble gum notes. A disappointment.

Honey, apple, and toasted biscuit aromas. Aside from typical banana and clove flavors familiar to the style, this beer also has a noticeable floral characteristic with just a hint of bitterness. Chewy and thicker than most, and perhaps a bit darker than most, this is probably the best hefeweizen I’ve had to date.
