Commercial Description:
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

0.5L bottle in a wheat beer glass - Pours a cloudy light amber color with fairly large fluffy white head. Aroma is full of cloves, light caramel, touch of bananna, bit of lemon. Flavor is fairly malty, yeasty, definite bananna, light caramel. Finish is balanced. Fairly highly carbonated. Very nice overall, though a bit dark it seems to me for the style.

(6/19/08) Bottle at Aufsturz in Berlin. Cloudy brown with a huge stable beige head - BEAUTIFUL! Aroma of wheat, some spiciness, fruits and bubblegum notes as well as hints of caramelly malt. Sweetish fruity wheaty flavor with some banana, nice spiciness and great light tartness that appears a big later. Medium-bodied. A really great Weizen!

...bottle from Cloudwine. On the nose, hints of carmalized sugar, cloves and roasted malts, with some fruity apple. The color was darker than the typical hef, a cloudy amber. Lively tight carbonation, with an off-whitish head that diminished rather quickly with not much lacing. Mouthfeel was full bodied, with great clove notes, slightly roasted malts, yeast and a dry, slightly sweet finish witha slight hint of alcohol. Overall, a great hef, and I’m glad I tried it, I will have it again.
