COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

This was a disappointing brew. It did foam nicely when poured into a glass and it did have a nice color and aroma - but the taste didn’t keep up. If the label hadn’t said the beer was brewed in Germany, I would have thought I was drinking some typical boring mass-produced American beer.

Aromas of cloves, fruit, nutmeg, yeast, and some herbal notes. A large foamy short lived white head sits atop a dark amber pour producing little lacing. The taste follows the nose with a pleasant touch of sourness in the finish. I like that! Medium body and crisp carbonation. Overall, one of the better Hefewiessens I’ve had. Will drink again.

Drink cold (8-10°C) Eye: Pours brownish-dark copper almost rusty colour, with nice big white head. Good Carbonation. Nose: spices, wheat, barley, ripe banana. Mouth: what, bread, honey, caramel-malts, raisins. Palate: ripe bananas, whole-grain bread. Tastes of caramel but less sweet, prunes. Overall: very nice Weizen, nod as good as Aventinus but still very drinkable

500 ml. Opaque copper with a lasting disc of creamy bubbles. Surprisingly looks more like a dunkel. Big nose of clove, caramel, resin, sourish apple, banana and a hint of smoke. Tastes of caramel, clove, lightly tart apple, nutty wheat and traces of banana and smoke. Light-medium body is too fizzy, but has a great balance from many angles.

Bottle. Mainly note ripe banana in the aroma. Attractive foam but murky in appearance. Appreciate it is the style, but still doesn’t make it look any more attractive. Slight savoury note at the beginning of flavour. Main enjoyment factor for me is the refreshing juicy tanginess of this beer.

500ml bottle served in a weissbier glass. Big creamy beige head. Clear copper colored body. Thread-like sediments. Aroma is very pleasant. Banana, bread, pale malt and spice. Very light on the tongue. Mostly sweet with a long lasting bread-like aftertaste. Slightly sour and yeasty. All in all an excellent weissbier, although it might be watery to some.

Duft av humle, malt, eik og frukter. Rødbrun farte. Lite skum, nesten ingenting. Frisk smak av hvete og frukter som sitter.

A hazy orange brown coloured beer with a frothy off white head. A light aroma, yeasty and bready, mild spice, clove and cinnamon plus a tropical fruit element. A dry mouthfeel. A tart, zesty citrus fruit and sour tropical fruit, green bananas, mango, grapefruit and lime. These flavours are tempered by an underlying sweetish wheaty, yeasty and bready flavour which brings forth the spice element. The finish is zesty and spicy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is one of my favourites. Available on tap at my local drinking hole where they consider this to be a dunkle weissbier on their menu. The head on this beer is so thick that it actually stands up and remains all the way through. The taste is very full and and slightly bitter. A++
