1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
It may say draft only but, this bottle is labeled with this name and brewery. Pours a sandy, cloudy brown, with a pillowy white head that fades to a thin dense head. Impressive wheat and grainy aroma, with some spiciness. Tart and stringent flavor that is overpowering with wheat and grain. I’m not sure I can finish this. This is a garish, excessive beer that almost mocks the style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Assertive hoppy nose, almost smells like an American IPA. Cloudy goldenrod color. Big boomy mouth covers the whole palate. Hoppiness carries all the flavors, this is delicious.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Long lost rating. Bottle consumed circa late summer 2007.)
Hazy golden brown with a nice offwhite average head. Sweet estery nose. A juicy sort of hop. A bit of alcohol provides balance to the sweetness. Low carbonation, a bit of thickness, nice. Alcohol bigger as it warms . Ester and hops less harmonious in the flavor. A bit wheaty. Some bubble gum Apples, alcohol and dry hops in the finish. A little peppery.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
I think most of the 4+ ratings here are from people who like their beer completely overloaded with hops, no matter what the style. If there are any of characteristic flavors of a hefeweizen (banana, cloves, bubble gum), they are comletely overwhelemed by piney, resinous hops. The variety too, probably chinook or centennial (no way is that Hallertau), is completely inappropriate for a wheat. Not good

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
[Bottle] Pours a dark murky orange with a huge white head. Aroma is banana, hops initially, a lot of yeast, and maybe a bit of cloves, but not too much spiciness. Taste is like a really good hefe with the banana, but the yeast is much stronger than usual, there are once again hops quite evident (especially before warming) and malt in the finish. Very nice mouthfeel. This is an excellent beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(bottle) At first I thought this beer would be a little odd with all the hops, but it really worked for this beer. Poured a super cloudy, hazy, light orange with a billowing white head. Nice aroma off the bat, with all of the usual wheat beer characteristics, banana bread, clove, with a nice hop undertone, that faded as the beer warmed. Taste was nice and sweet, with banana, clove, and a bready/hop finish. Mouthfeel was quite thick on this one and it is excellent.

500mL bottle -- Rozi’s Wine House, Lakewood, Ohio
Frothy and foamy white head with hoppy nose. Medium apricot color with a nice hazy translucency. Hops are very present but not overpowering. Bitter spiciness is welcome and refreshing.
A nice and unique beer.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Half-liter bottle adorned with lemon and electric blue label graphics. The foggy, strawberry blonde liquid rolls forth with a fanfare of billowing, airy fluff that boasts Herculean stamina. Fantastic fruity/spicy aromas leap from my glass- apricot, honey, raspberry syrup, tangelo, musk, currants, key lime, and lapsang souchoung. The round, malty flavor also features jammy fruit, spiced red grape jelly, cherry, and spruce. Bubblegum and five-spice enhances the warmly ethanolic finish. A refreshing, juicy mouthfeel is light and lively with carbonation, but not overcrisp. Heady afterflavors of expensive gin, incense, Hawaiian Punch, rosehips, and ruby grapefruit are hammered home by a retronasal clove/cinnamon karate kick. This beer resembles a liqueur cocktail, friendly yet complex and contemplative, and just screams for Pacific rim cuisine, crisp spring rolls with fiery chili sauce, Jamaican jerk barbecue, bacon-wrapped scallops, or simple grilled knockwurst with purple cabbage ’kraut.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, Very hop forward nose, pine and citrus are dominate. Palate is light like a more watery hefe, Hops dominate this brew quite a bit, and in my opinion a bit too much, as the hops override nearly everything. Many of the subtleties of the wheat are not perceptible. Not bad but a bit to hop dominate in my opinion. Thanks to MrRomero for this beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle: poured a cloudy pineapple-ish brownish yellow with a large beige head. Aroma of citrusy/piney hops, not the standard banana notes from other weizens. Peppery pineapple flavor with some bitter hop presence. Mild sweet finish followed up by some big bitterness. Decent.
