Served in dimpled mug. Pours a cloudy orange. Sizable off-white head, with moderate lacing. Aroma of citrus (grapefruit and tangerine) with slight muskiness and mild alcohol. Excellent mouthfeel; effervescent with microbubbles of foamy head adding decisively to palate is primarily citrus, with tangerine flavor dominating. Lemon and white pepper in background, with minimal flavor of alcohol. A fine beer, and a credit to all parties involved.

Bottle, John’s Grocery in Iowa City. Tangerine pour, lots of just off-white foam, coming out of solution in attractive microbubbles. Very pleasant musky dried fruit aroma. Papaya, leather, lemon. Peppery lemon sorbet flavor, pleasant medicinal touch, drying tannic finish. Delicate, bright and airy palate, without seeming overly carbonated. Lovely beer, a little dash of adventure while still firmly part of the Schneider tradition.

16.9 oz bottle. I drink a LOT of beer, and this is the winner for the best beer I’ve ever tried. Pours a hazy orange with a gigantic orange head that threatens to overtake the entire beer. Aroma is of pungent orange peels, fresh oranges, citrus, and ripe bananas. Flavor is of floral and earthy hops, bananas, spices, orange peels, tangerines, and some slight yeast. The alcohol is perfectly concealed. I wasn’t expecting too much, but this completely blew me away. I’ll be surprised if I ever try a beer this good again.

Bottle from Systembolaget. I had this with a good friend of mine. I had never finished this one myself. It´s to stong and heavy. I find this one little hard to rate. It´s so different from other weisen. It´s more strong, heavier taste from spices, candy, banana, vanilla, pineapple, grape and sweeeeet malt. The brew is very hazy yellow. Head is rocky white. I had fun rating this. A new experience!

Opens with a mild gush, then pours thick-hazed golden with large chunks of sediment under a full, creamy, off-white head. (As I near the end of the 500ml bottle, the yeast becomes so thick as to turn the golden body a bizarre shade of septic tan, so I need to deduct an appearance-point.) Florals strike the nose first which actually pair well with fruity banana and yeasty dough aromas. Creamy mouthfeel with a touch of spritz and astringence. Alcohol is undeniable in the flavor, accompanied by banana bread yeasts and sharp herbal hops. The overall flavor profile would be tart and fruity leading to a tart and spicy finish with a hint of bitterness. A very well-made beer due to an excellent collaboration. ~~~~~~~~~~ Purchased August, 2007, Binny’s, Orland Park, IL, consumed June 2009.

Bottle. I don’t think beer is as good as any of the other Schneider brews. Flavor and aroma are decent but this is mediocre.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy straw with a huge foaming white head. Yeast, bread, soap on the nose. Flavors of spice, some mango, melon. Nice hop bitterness. I am digging this guy.

Pours a hazy, pale golden color with, in my experience, little to no head. Spicy, yeasty aroma with a bitter, fruity bite to the taste. Hops and a subtle, sour banana note in the background. Ths would pair well with food, I suspect.

Poured from 500ml Bottle into Weizen glass. Pours a creamy pale orange with glowing edges. It has a frothy pure white head that lasts the entire time you are drinking this beer. Aroma is heavy with spices, earthy hops, some banana and yeast. Flavor is light sweet and toasted malts, white pepper spice, light hopiness and ends with a fluffy bitterness. Its medium bodied beer with plenty of carbonation. I like the amount of spices that the flavor has and it ends up semi-dry. Very good beer.

CBF 2009. A very hopped weizen. Dark yellow and murky. White head, mostly diminishing. Aroma is coriander and hops, moderate malty, heavy yeasty. Flavor starts moderate sweet and bitter, finish heavy bitter. Dry texture. Lively carbonation.
