Killer stuff here. Golden yellow pour with an large and fluffy white head. Big banana aroma with some clove and maybe cereal. The flavor is huge here. Lots of the aforementioned banana clove stuff going on with a fuckload of hops thrown in for good measure. Honey sweetness and a bit of cantaloupe as well. Well made beer that should sit alongside Aventinus and Aventinus Eisbock for all of eternity.

Bottle; poured a murky ruddy orange. Large white head. Aroma of wheat, lemon, spice, banana and yeast. Nice soothing mouthfeel. Flavor was subtle, tasty and good. Banana, lemon, spice and caramel/toffee. Some general fruitiness as well; possibly apple.

500ml Bottle: Aroma is medium sweet. Smells of floral hops, honey, pollen, blueberries, honeydew, and spices. Poured brown in color with a large off-white head that lasted throughout. Very small lacing. Cloudy. Opaque. Lots of particles. Very sparkling. Looks like diarrhea. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malts, toffee, caramel, honey, pollen, vanilla, resin, and Cheerie-Os. Medium body. Sticky texture. Lively carbonation. Bittersweet finish of caramel and pine. Overall, I like this more than most other Weizen Bocks, probably because of the hops. Complex all around.

500ml bottle. Huge off white head tops a murky golden brown body. It was only lightly hazed until the schmutz from the bottom of the bottle really clouded it up. Lemony wheat nose, a bit spicy. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Grassy flavors, lemongrass and grainy wheat. Some apple-like flavors. Interesting take on the style (one I donít particularly care for) and well done.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2007 (500ml bottle) Pours a cloudy brownish golden body with a huge long-lasting rocky beige head. Aroma of florals, earthiness, and herbs. Flavor of floral hops, banana, and cloves. Very spicy Weizen Bock with a nice soft mouthfeel.

500ml. bottle. Cloudy yellow/orange color with a large white head. Very yeasty aroma, with lots of citrus, some banana, clove and an odd phenolic smell in the background. Flavor was again quite yeasty, with a lot of fruity esthers. Some banana and clove, with a bit of a floral aftertaste. Thankfully the odd phenolic aroma I got did not translate into the flavor.

This 500 ml brown bottle was labeled with an artwork that was a hybrid of the style of the two collaborating breweries. I chose a Ĺ liter Wezen glass to sample this beer, and the magnificent head on the pour that was contained in the glass made me glad that I did. The body was standard pale, hazy, and bubbly Weiss beer affair, on second looks, may be a little thicker than normal. The aroma was so much more than the typical wheat beer smells of lemon, banana, bubblegum, and clove, due to the generous addition of noble hops. The phenolic spiciness typically present in wheat beer taste was similarly enhanced here with the herbal hop addition. In addition to the spices, I got a mouthful of tropical fruits like melon, pineapple, and banana, The aftertaste was tart like lemon peel and granny smith apples. Quite an authentic summer quencher, but watch out for that 8.2% ABV. A bit fuller in the mouth than the norm, making it feel slightly green. Otherwise just great the way it is.

500mL, no date from Johnís Grocery. Cloudy orange tea with a frothy 2 1/2 finger white head. Lemon, pepper, and herbal hops are up front, followed by some yeast, spicy alcohol, and only slightly stronger than a hint of banana. Lemony citrus and, pepper, and herbal hops again dominate the flavor. Still not a lot of banana to be had, but I still get a fair amount of yeast. Usually weizen bocks tend to be darker and heavier, but this, despite being fairly full bodied, is still refreshing due to the spiciness and citrus. Dry earthy finish. Moderate carbonation. Glad I snagged a few of these.

from samís chicago. this is by far the hazziest looking heffe iíve ever seem. this stuff is opaque. the last bit of this pour is a shit load of straight yeast. caramel color looks like dulce de lece with a fluffy white head. lots of banana and clove aroma. zesty, slightly spicy taste. lots of full grainy flavor with some bubblegum and a long satisfying finish. terrific stuff.
