4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle. Lots of hops for a German beer, but it was more herbal and spicy than just bitter. Alcohol masked very well, went down very easy. Tasty German style malts.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
0.5l bottle from CsakajůsŲr. Starts wih a nice huge head having aromas of banana, mandarin and honey. Hints of other fruits, mostly citrus. Foam has charming bittersweet taste, with banana and honey dominating. Colour is hazy dark orange. Taste is dominated by banana, honey. Yet, rather complex. Alcohol is also clearly there. Hoppiness is kind of mild, stays in the background, a bit more detectale in the aftertaste. Carbonation seems to be a bit strong for me in the beginning, but then becomes milder. A very good Bavarian weissbeer that gets only a bit of hoppiness to make it more exciting and exotic, but does not destroy the usual banana-honey dominated harmony.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bought a bottle at Bertís Bierhuis. The beer has a deep golden color and a nice white head, CO2 level is excellent. In the aroma strong tones of flowers, hops and fruits. The taste is silky and very hoppy, with tones of bananas, cloves, hops and orange peels. The finish is a light sweet with a medium bitter and gives a warm mouth feeling. Conclusion: itís just a brilliant beer. One of the beers I regulary buy when Iím at a beer store.

50cl bottle. Hazy orange with medium, white head.
NOSE : surprisingly the hop character reminds a lot of US hops : strong citrus, zest and pine. Yeast has itís characteristic banana aroma and grains are more like dough.
SIP : Creamy with good carbonation. Full body. Itís sweet and creamy with lactic and yeast notes in the background. Hop fruity and herbal notes are striking right after and itís quite intense. Finishing with bitter aromas of zest and pine. Still yeasty and banana/bubblegum like feeling in the background.
OVERALL : very surprising beer. I didnít know that German beers are brewed with US hops. Itís a great marriage if you ask me. Yeasty and hoppy. The alcohol is well hidden.

Hops, orange peel, later sweet, yeasty aroma. Cloudy orange color. Huge, rocky, white head. Very sweet, orange peel and hops bitterness. Medium-full body. Light fizzy. Light sticky texture. Sweet, astringent, light warm finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle, thnx to McTapps! Cheers! Pours a lovely, slightly hazed golden beer with a big white head on top. Aroma is exactly what the name of the beer says it is, hops and wheat. Light dried citrus aromas with grassy hops and subtle wheaty, fruity touches as well. Very nicely balanced. Flavor is quite bitter for a German styled beer, especially a weizen bock, but itís certainly enjoyable. There is a big, hoppy presence in the middle of the flavor, followed by a malty, wheaty finish. Aftertaste is very short, alcohol is well hidden and carbonation is defintely there. Nice brew!

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Prominent, fresh-tasting hops (from the dry-hopping) beautifully balances the bock sweetness, with the wheat always present in the background. Strong pear flavor reminds me of, of all things, Westmale tripel. But as much as I love all types of weizens, in this beer itís almost the pedestal to showcase the hops, which stands out like an electric guitar in a three-piece rock band.
