aroma: banana, moss, forest; cloudy, very heavy for a weizen, high carbonation. Interesting combination of hop+typical weizen taste. Quite unbalanced, but good overall.

Big bottle poured into a 19 oz. pilsner glass. Lovely, cloudy yellow redolent of yeast and wheat. This is a wonderful, full bodied, high ABV and hoppy wheat beer. True enough, it has a bit of the dreaded banana flavor, but also malt, citrus and a mild spiciness. ’Spic(K)iness? Damn spell checker gave me an error on ’spicieness’ and ’spicyness’, either of which seem prefferable to spiciness. And damn it, I like 2 ’ff’s in prefferable. Homogenized piffle! In any event, this is one of the finest weisse style brews I’ve ever had, showing a slight, but excellent cross-breeding of the traditional stlye with a bit of crafty hopping. On my ’A’ list.

Cloudy ochre, tall dense head leaving a thick film on beer. Aroma of nectar, honey, tropical fruit, melon, blossom. Great. Medium to full body. Oily. The flavour combines the labour of american hops with fruity & spicy yeastiness. Very like a strong wheat IPA. Still it remains a Hefe in profile. An unbeatable thing.

Weizen Bock meet IPA. I’ve tried batches where the aroma was simply wonderful and others where there is this grassy my hop are too much or not fresh... The body is consistently malty deliciousness. It is a nice companion to my best friend Aventinus...

This is a fruit juice! I shared a bottle during a beer tasting with friends. Granted - we had already had several fruity beers before this and maybe were getting close to an overdose, but between the 6 of us we were not able to finish 0.5L. It’s soo sweet and soo fruity! These are qualities that I usually really like, but this beer showed me that it’s possible to overdo it. Too much! The aroma is full of aroma hops with some very spicy (coriander) yeast mixed in. You don’t even notice the alcohol beneath this fullscale sensory attack!

This is real weizen + ipa. The combination of hop and yeast is just amazing. It’s cheap, it’s tasty, it’s perfect.

Laranja escura, turva. Espuma abundante e persistente. Aroma cítrico e floral, com notas amadeiradas. Sabor ácido, levemente amargo, com notas de banana, abacaxi, madeira, chocolate e grama verde. Retrogosto amargo com final alcoólico.

Bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. Cloudy, cloudy dark orange, almost ochre. Small white head. Exciting aroma, a mix of the tropical fruit and spice of a Hefeweizen with fresh grassy, floral hop. The hop aroma wins (just). Taste has a bitter/sour kick overriding the sweetness. Sublime... but the the finish is a bit unbalanced and leaves an odd taste in the mouth. Not sure what this beer wants to be, but it’s fluidity is its charm. Very, very well done.
