Bought it in Venice as Schneider Hopfen-Weisse Tap 5; one of the best beers I’ve tried recently. A full-bodied weizen with the wonderful floral hints of the Brooklyn hops. Aroma is citrus and vegetal notes, very fresh and inviting. Taste is perfectly balance between the bitternes of the hops and the sweetness of the weizen malts; light carbonation that gives a very smooth sensation on the tongue; long lasting hoppy finish. Give it a try!

From a 500ml bottle om 5/10/2015. Pours a murky greeny brown with almost no head and masses of yeast. The nose features zesty citrus and ripe fruit, spice and hops.In the mouth, there’s lots of ripe sweet fruit, particularly banana and pear, bready malt, with lots of spice and nice zesty hop bitterness. The texture i thick and the carbonation soft. Wow. This really is a different and quite brilliant wheat beer - it exhibits great structure, character and complexity. I will definitely be having more of this..

Opaque light gold, medium white head. Spicy and earthy noble hop aroma - wonderous! Balanced bitter and yeasty Hefe sweet. Finishes warming. Very nice.

Draft. Cloudy dark yellow, very good foam. Aroma: yeast and hops, banana and clove, a little citrus and white porto. Taste slightly sweet, banana and light sweetness, a bit of wine and hop bitterness, very good!

Ámbar turbio y espuma marfil compacta. Aromas florales, manzana oxidada toque cítrico. Cuerpo medio, inicio dulce afrutado, ciruela verde, ligero cítrico y final de amargor seco moderado con presencia suave de alcohol.

0,5 l. bottle from Beervana. Thank you my beautiful wife, Natalia. Pours a bright but cloudy amber color with a big white frothy head that diminishes slowly and leaves a fine creamy film. Gorgeous, incredible aroma. Intense fruity, yeasty and spicy nose. I get notes of banana, clove, coriander, caradamom, vanilla, guava, loquats and custard apple. German noble hop, herbal, touches with lots of what and bready malts in the backbone. Some bubblegum and a fresh hint of spearmint. Otherworldly. It doesn’t get more complex than this without losing balance. Complex fruity and semi-bitter taste. Explosive spiciness in the tongue. Banana and oher ripe fruits like peaches and apricots start unleashing more massive biscuit and cake flavors that show what a massive malty backbone this brew has. Intense but without a trace of booze. Strong, bold retronasal. Medium body but I cannot stress enough how drinkable it is for and 8,2% ABV. Medium carbonation. Incredible. This is a different kind of Weizen Bock. One of the most complex beers I’ve tried and so incredibly drinkable at the same time. This one is superior than Aventinus. Worldclass German beer from a top brewer!

Maker: Weissbierbrauerei G. Schneider & Sohn, Kelheim, Germany *** Beer: Schneider Weisse Tap 5 Meine Hopfenweisse (bottled, unfiltered, 500ml) *** Style: Weizenbock (Imperial Cloudy German Wheat) *** ALC.VOL.: 8.2% *** Colour: Hazy deep orange, with a huge, frothy off-white head. *** Nose: Potent mix of overripe banana, sour citrus and clove. Yeast. *** Texture: Full body, hardly watery. Modest carbonation. *** Taste: Fruity at the start: a whole fruit basket of banana, pear, kiwi, melon, with a citric note on top. Alcoholic, too - and increasingly so towards the middle, with banana now dominating the fruit front. Finish is caramel, banana, some lemon, yeast. After taste of moldy banana, caramel. *** Impressions: Impressive, highly drinkable strong cloudy wheat that blends fruit flavors, hops and the inevitable alcoholic note surprisingly smoothly. A particular recommendation for the friends of the Bavarian "banana wheat" style.

Bottle 0.5 l, PiwoCzas, Wrocław, Poland.
Złote, mętne piwo o puszystej i obfitej pianie oraz świeżym, pszenicznym i chmielowym aromacie. W smaku orzeźwiające, początkowo lekko słodowe, pszeniczne z wyczuwalnymi goździkami, leśne z chmielową goryczką na finiszu.

500ml bottle pours clear amber with 2 finger head. Nose is toasted sweet malt caramel, crust, light orange and spice. Taste is somewhat slick on palate, sweet, toasted nutty caramel, round soft cherry malt fruit, orange, bread. Finishes with some fruity malt, bitter citrus, bread, toast, caramel. Maybe this bottle is very old because I am getting almost zero hop presence and basically all sticky sweet malt toast.

Hazy amber with substantial head. Very hoppy and fruity aromas (maybe pear?) for a weizenbock, with some solid yeasty notes too. Really hoppy and fruity taste too - orange, tangerine, kiwifruit, honeydew melon, banana esters. It’s actually kinda like drinking a fruit salad that’s been spiked with alcohol. Interesting, original and quite tasty.
